Rauvolfia serpentina L. Benth. ex Kurz. (Apocynaceae) commonly called as sarpgandha is an important medicinal
plant, mainly known for its various phytochemicals. Microbial pathogens develop resistance to antibiotics after repeated
administration during the treatment of infectious diseases. Therefore, it is necessary to find alternative antimicrobial drugs and
the present trend is focused on medicinal plants. The hereby research work was carried out to investigate the antifungal activity
of solvents as well as aqueous extracts of Rauwolfia serpentina whole plant, stem and roots. The main objective of present study
was to evaluate a comprehensive review the antifungal activity of Rauvolfia serpentina L.
