Dear Partner in ministry, When you are involved in evangelism, you get to see miracles unfold before your eyes. While “miracle” is a word that is sometimes misused, what I’m about to share with you qualifies as nothing less. Our team recently returned from Ethiopia, where thousands of people were served by our medical and dental teams, around 1,100 people received eye surgery, and close to 3,000 people were baptized, to the glory of God. Each of those people represents someone for whom Jesus died, and many will be in heaven who otherwise would not, thanks to your desire to see people redeemed through the saving blood of Jesus.
A Muslim woman… bowed her head in prayer to God.
But before I share a miracle story with you, I want to share a miracle photo. As you look carefully at this picture taken during our meetings in Addis Ababa, what do you see? Yes, you see a platform, and you see me and my outstanding translator, Pastor Temesgen. And on the far left of the photo is a Muslim woman, who was backstage during my presentation, in a place where she knew she would not be a distraction. She listened intently, and when the appeal was made, she bowed her head in prayer to God. I cannot say when the last chapter of her story will be written. But I do know that her presence at that meeting was not an accident, and those who saw her saw that the Holy Spirit had touched her heart.
