In this edition we continue our coverage of evaluative work and results achieved in several countries, highlighting how evaluations help in course correction, and how they feed into new programming in a tangible manner. Over the past five years we have undertaken over 60 evaluations of projects and programmes in IFAD’s diverse portfolio and provided insights into how successful and durable the collaboration and partnership between IFAD and IOE has been. The high uptake of IOE recommendations by both IFAD and governments indicates the value accorded to independent evaluation, which has the necessary gravitas and credibility to drive utility and change.
