he Rialto Unified School District K-12 school district has historically piloted Project Impact, an innovative program through California State
University, San Bernardino which aims at increasing the number of male teachers of color in classrooms.
RUSD, uniquely, offers this program to its own employees, making it the
first regional school district to do so.
The District introduced Project Impact publicly at the August 24, 2022, RUSD Board of Education meeting. Dr. Rhea McIver Gibbs,
RUSD Lead Personnel Agent, led the program, presenting alongside Dr. C h i n a k a DomNwachukwu, Dean of the CSUSB College of Education, and introducing the eight enrollees in Project

for 14 veterans, all expenses paid
n August 8th, the Fontana-Rialto Elks Lodge chartered an all-expenses-paid deep sea fishing boat out of Dana Point for 14 local veterans.
The lodge partnered with two non-profit organizations, Working Dogs for Warriors (in Rialto) and Lighthouse Social Service Center (in Colton), to treat a handful of its veteran members to an 8-hour fishing trip as a thank you for their service. “Our veterans must know we
