n executed settlement between Colton Joint Unified School District and the developer of the Bloomington Business Park shows CJUSD could receive up to $27 million while retaining ownership of Zimmerman Elementary School, but the agreement also
requires the district to withdraw its opposition to the project and commits CJUSD not to file or support specified project-related litigation. CJUSD says Zimmerman, which sits adjacent to the development area, will remain open. San Bernardino County describes the Bloomington Business Park
Specific Plan as a roughly 213-acre project that could accommodate up to 3.24 million square feet of industrial and business park uses at full buildout. he Colton City Council has named a future sports complex for state Sen. Eloise Gómez Reyes and South Colton sports pioneer and civic leader Juan M. Caldera. The Eloise Gómez Reyes Sports
Complex — Juan Caldera Fields will serve as the community sports portion of a planned 45-acre habitat conservation and recreation project near the Santa Ana River. The name was selected following a community process that invited residents to submit nominations. The Colton Recreation and Parks Commission
