Mayor Lance E. Colondo honors members of the Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band for championship fall season. By SAVANNAH BROWN On Monday, Feb. 2, Nazareth Borough Council honored the Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band for another championship fall season while also approving a slate of resolutions covering recreation, public safety, borough governance and upcoming community events. Council unanimously approved a resolution recognizing the Blue Eagle Marching Band following what was described as another record-setting competitive season in fall 2025. The citation commends band director Matt Tanzos, student leaders, musicians, color guard members and support staff
for championships earned at the local, state and regional levels and for maintaining an undefeated record in competitions entered by current members. Council praised the band’s long-standing reputation for musical excellence and marching precision and its role as a highlight of borough parades and events for decades. The borough secretary was directed to issue a formal citation to Tanzos and the band, which council said it was once again honored to host at the meeting. In public property matters, council approved requests for use of borough park fields by several youth sports organizations. Naza-
