PONG, CENTIPEDE AND ASTEROIDS

The Idaho Lottery has a message for everyone who ever said nothing good could ever come from playing video games: Level up, Idaho! The decade that introduced big hair, MTV, and the Rubik’s Cube into American culture, also brought us classic video arcade games! The video game revolution started with the iconic Pong from Atari and featured classics like Centipede and Asteroids. Coincidentally, these three giant video games from the ‘80s are the new feature Scratch games from the Idaho Lottery. It’s old school cool with top prizes that reach all the way to $100,000! Retro fun, rad cash. Pong, the classic game that started it all, is a $2 game where players can win up to $10,000. The game features ten chances bouncing back and forth between two paddles to win prizes. Players who reveal an Atari symbol win the prize for that line. Players who reveal 2X symbol win double the prize for that line.

Centipede, the $5 Scratch Game, features all the classic symbols of the great ‘80s arcade game with Winning Numbers under the centipede and has players match to Your Numbers under the mushrooms, spider, and shooter. Match numbers and win the prize shown. Reveal the Atari symbol and win the prize shown automatically, up to the top prize of $50,000. Sci-fi was king of the box office in the ‘80s and perhaps no sci-fi themed video game was bigger than Asteroids. Guiding your own spaceship through a field of galactic space rocks like Han Solo while blasting the asteroids into bits of space dust was one of the biggest thrill rides of the decade. Now, blasting those same Asteroids could win your players $100,000 in the $10 game. And if the ticket is a non-winner? They still can win! Players reveal an 8-digit alpha-numeric code under the joystick on every non-winning ticket to enter for a chance to win a monthly prize of $1,000. Players enter the code and play a classic Atari game to reveal the number of their entries. They may even get on the leaderboard! Entries are only good for the month they are entered. The monthly drawings will continue until all Atari games have ended. Crank up the classic rock all the way, break out the neon and jean jacket, and ride the nostalgia wave to win up to $100,000.

BULK PURCHASING LAW BEGINS JULY 1ST

A new law to curb bulk purchasing of Lottery products takes effect on July 1, 2026. Bulk purchases are the purchase of lottery tickets exceeding $5,000 within a 24-hour period by any person or persons acting in concert with one another. This could be at your store; it could be across multiple stores. The limit is $5,000 in a 24-hour period. If you encounter someone, or a group, attempting to buy in bulk, the Idaho Lottery would like you to follow the three “I” principal: Identify, Inquire, Inform. Identify Does the player, or players, ask if you have any quantity (large or small) of game tickets that are close to selling out that have a large top prize remaining? Do they ask you for every ticket you have for that game? Do they ask to buy entire packs? Do they ask you to order additional packs? Inquire If the purchase looks suspicious, or seems out of the ordinary or routine, ask questions like, “Have you been to any other stores?” “Have you visited the store across the street?” “Have you had luck ﬁnding tickets in other stores, or other parts of Idaho?” Inform If you have reason to suspect a player or players may be trying to buy in bulk, contact Idaho Lottery Security at 208-334-2277. If you see something, say something. As the retailer, you are our ﬁrst line of defense to stop bulk purchasing practices. Be aware and identify if something is suspicious.
