NEWS FROM HQ

A MESSAGE FROM THE MD, ANDY KYNOCH

become the company in June 2019 evoke a work ethic communicating, It’s good to see our ranks and this newsletter is evidence of that

I am astounded how each quarter there are yet more fabulous stories about our people and the successes they enjoy. I am super proud of you all and that’s a great reason to note that we recently celebrated two milestone days in the calendar year: Employee Appreciation Day and International Women’s Day - so important to me and so dear to my heart!

ICTS has a family feel about it where we care for one and all and that is seen day after day, whether it be amongst ourselves or something our clients’ witness One great example of that led to the 2025 Employee of the Year Award going to Paul Darrington for his outstanding intuitiveness and caring for his colleague who failed to come to work and could not be contacted. I’ll let you read the story on page 4 within. Paul, I salute you and thank you for your actions that day.

Throughout the year, ICTS collaborates and supports various initiatives within the industry, from ICTS Ireland sponsoring the Institute of Strategic Risk Management Ireland Chapter Event to supporting foodbanks around the network Furthermore, we sit on and provide expertise to key Industry events and bodies such as the Data Centre Advisory Council on which our Executive Director - Corporate Security, Ashley Fernandes is a member. We support key Aviation groups too in various ways and are seen at both Aviation and Corporate events and conferences extolling our innovation and dedication to providing absolute security and safety to customers and staff alike Communication and collaboration are clearly uppermost in our minds!

Which leaves celebration, and that too goes from strength to strength, from employees who have achieved outstanding performance to those who pass milestone service years with the company

As usual, the world continues to provide challenging events and I urge everyone to increase their vigilance whilst on the job, question everything, remain, as ever, totally alert at all times and always be proactive

Finally, Spring is nearly here and hopefully drier weather, whatever take care and stay

AWARDS & EVENTS

EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR 2025: PAUL DARRINGTON

Many congratulations to Paul Darrington from our Corporate Security Division (based at a Data Centre location) who has been crowned Employee of the Year 2025

In July 2025, Paul Darrington, a Supervisor and an ICTS Safety Champion based at one of our data centre locations, demonstrated extraordinary initiative and courage during a critical situation that could have resulted in the loss of life When a colleague became uncontactable and failed to attend work, Paul acting on instinct and duty of care left site during his break and drove to the staff member’s home to check on his welfare a decision that ultimately saved this colleague’s life

The colleague had missed work and was unreachable by phone despite repeated attempts by the ICTS Security team. Earlier, he had sounded drowsy during a brief call, raising concerns about his health With no further contact and growing alarm, Paul took decisive action Upon arrival at his colleague’s home, Paul could hear a television on inside but received no response at the door

Persisting, Paul eventually heard faint replies and noticed slurred speech clear signs of a medical emergency Recognising the urgency, Paul immediately contacted emergency services Police and paramedics forced entry and found Paul’s colleague in a critical state According to an attending paramedic, he was only an estimated 60–90 minutes away from end of life Without Paul’s intervention, the outcome would almost certainly have been fatal. His quick thinking transformed a potential tragedy into a life saved.

Paul’s actions went far beyond his normal responsibilities He demonstrated exceptional judgement, compassion and courage under pressure His proactive approach ensured that the ICTS staff member received emergency care in time, whilst also maintaining professionalism by escalating appropriately in line with procedures

“I am deeply honoured and sincerely grateful to receive the Employee of the Year award. The support, trust and encouragement of Leadership and my colleagues mean more to me than I can fully express This recognition is truly humbling, and I am proud to be part of an organisation that values people, compassion and teamwork” - Paul Darrington (Employee of the Year 2025)

HR & COMPLIANCE

2025 STAFF SURVEY RESULTS

“2025’s annual staff survey ran in November, and it provided the opportunity for all of our colleagues to share their views on their experience working at ICTS Thank you for taking the time to let us know your views and giving us the information we need to bring about meaningful change

We received the results shortly after Christmas from our hosting partner The Survey Initiative and have already got to work on our site-specific action plans to tackle the areas where you told us we can improve. These plans will be shared and enacted at your places of work, with HR surgeries and catch ups throughout the year to check our progress and get your feedback on what’s working and what can be done better

Our participation rate was 37%, which disappointingly was down on 2024 However, despite the number of completions, our overall engagement actually increased by 1% to 54% All of the key themes saw an improvement, with Motivation increasing by 2% to 46%, Pride increasing by 1% to 63%, Intent to Stay increasing by 2% to 63%, Rarely Thinking of Leaving increasing by 2% to 45% and Advocacy at 54%, an increase of 1% We are encouraged to see that despite fewer people taking part, those who did are telling us that they have seen improvements since the survey in 2024 This is a testament to the actions taken at site level throughout the course of the year on the back of the previous survey

Our top three scores across the board were:

1 I am happy with my current role relative to what was described to me (78%)

2. The information I need to do my job effectively is readily available (76%)

The three areas where you told us you would like to see improvements are:

1 I believe my pay is fair, relative to similar roles at other companies (36%)

2 I rarely think about looking for a role at another company (45%)

3 ICTS motivates me to go beyond what I would in a similar role elsewhere (46%)

These three areas are consistent with the lowest three scoring areas in 2024, although in all three areas, we have seen a slight percentage increase of 6%, 1% and 1% respectively So, although we know we still have work to do, we are heartened to see that we are already taking positive steps in the right direction

We will continue to update you in each edition of Viewpoint as to what’s happening following the survey across our UK and Ireland locations, and we look forward to sharing with you even more progress throughout 2026 and into 2027.”

3. I have access to the things I need to do my job well (73%)

This shows us that our recruitment teams and onsite operational teams are equipping our people to do the best job they can while they are performing our critical work, which is excellent to see

TOGETHER AGAINST CORRUPTION:

THE POWER OF ANTI-BRIBERY REPORTING

Together Against Corruption: The Power of AntiBribery Reporting

Integrity isn’t just a value we uphold; it’s the cornerstone of our business Anti-bribery reporting plays a critical role in maintaining this standard While our policies and information posters provide guidance to you, have you ever considered why this matters so much? Let’s take a closer look.

Safeguarding Our Reputation

In today’s interconnected world, news travels fast. A single instance of bribery can tarnish a company’s reputation overnight By staying vigilant and reporting anything suspicious, we protect not only ICTS but also the trust our clients place in us

Staying on the Right Side of the Law

Anti-bribery laws, such as the UK Bribery Act 2010, don’t mess around Companies and individuals found in breach face hefty fines, legal action, and in extreme cases, imprisonment. When we speak up about potential issues, we help ensure compliance with these regulations and keep our company and staff safe. By addressing potential issues promptly, we ensure compliance with antibribery laws

Fostering a Culture of Integrity

Understanding the importance of anti-bribery reporting fosters a culture of honesty and transparency This improves morale and reminds us that integrity is a shared responsibility When we work together to uphold ethical standards, we create a stronger, more unified workplace.

How Can You Contribute?

Speaking up can sometimes feel daunting, but remember, you are never alone in this Our reporting channels are confidential and designed to make the process as straightforward as possible Whether you have a concern about a potential bribe or simply a question, we encourage you to reach out We take all claims very seriously and ensure they are thoroughly investigated, taking appropriate action if necessary. However, if any claims are found to be malicious, we address them with equal seriousness By acting, you play a vital role in upholding our values and protecting the future of ICTS

Need Support or More Information?

The Business Assurance Department is here to help If you have questions about our Anti-Bribery Policy or need guidance, don’t hesitate to contact us

Let’s continue to work together to keep our workplace ethical, transparent, and free from corruption.

WHY HEALTH & SAFETY MATTERS…. FROM DAY 1

Did you know that according to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), new starters are more likely to be involved in a workplace accident during their first six months than at any other time in their career

Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we all play a part in creating a supportive and secure environment If you see someone new looking unsure, don’t walk past check in, offer a hand, and help guide them. These small acts make a big difference.

Together, by following the steps we take and looking out for each other, we build a culture where everyone can thrive safely especially those just starting their journey with us

Please reach out to the Business Assurance Department if you have any questions

The following is an update on our wellbeing initiatives and chosen ICTS Awareness Day campaigns:

NEWS FROM OUR CONTRACTS

WORDS OF PRAISE

Jemma Clark, Station Manager - Edinburgh Airport would like to highlight the recent good work of HBS Supervisor, Alan Martin and Lead Agent, Daniel Macovei.

Jemma writes, “Edinburgh Airport recently hosted representatives of Prestwick Airport who were looking at the Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) system in place at Edinburgh Alan played an invaluable role in the visit, with his knowledge and experience of the HBS system providing detailed insight into the pros and cons of the system and how screeners interact with it Alan has received lovely recognition from both the EDI compliance team and the Prestwick airport visitors who expressed their thanks for the insight he provided at such short notice. The visit truly would not have gone as well without all of Alan's help!

I would also like to recognise Daniel Macovei, whose vigilance in screening led to the successful identification of an undeclared firearm in hold baggage He was able to identify the weapon during x-ray screening and promptly notified the Airport authorities, leading to the successful intervention of an undeclared weapon ending up on board an aircraft I am however unable to provide further details as we are uncertain as to whether a criminal investigation was opened against the owner of the baggage and so were not informed further of the situation after the police arrived to assess the weapon. ”

LONG SERVICE AWARDS CONT.

“Having reached 25 years’ service with ICTS as Office Manager at London Heathrow, I can honestly say it has been an honour to contribute to the organisation’s growth and success

I am grateful of the support and collaboration from colleagues past and present and proud of what we’ve achieved together and grateful for the support throughout the years

It’s been a privilege to work with such dedicated and inspiring colleagues. I’m proud of the journey so far and for what lies ahead.”

Tajammul Hussain (London Heathrow Airport)

“It has been a great pleasure working at ICTS for the past 25 years I have thoroughly enjoyed working on various contracts with the entire team.

I am grateful for all the opportunities I have received over the years which have allowed me to progress in my career and gain a lot of experience. I would also like to thank my colleagues for their continuous support, kindness and friendliness

I will continue to support ICTS with my hard work and dedication in the coming years "

20-YEARS’ SERVICE

Esther Narh (London Heathrow Airport)

“I am proud to celebrate 20 years with ICTS and grateful for the journey from day one to today It has been a privilege to contribute to the success of the company. I’m thankful for the memories and the incredible team and remain excited for what the future holds ”

“I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since I joined ICTS the time has absolutely flown. The Accounts Department has seen plenty of change over the years, with people coming and going, but one thing has stayed constant: it’s always been a fantastic team to be part of I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with such a great group of people ”

June Wicks (London Head Office)

20-YEARS’ SERVICE CONT.

“I’ve spent 20 years with ICTS at London Heathrow, and it has truly become a second home to me I began my journey with American Airlines, and when that contract ended, I moved to Virgin Atlantic.

With Virgin Atlantic, I took on several roles and supported many projects including advisory work during the Luton station rebuild

“My ICTS adventure began back when I was a Trainer and Deputy Station Manager at Cardiff Airport, just as ICTS took over the security contract in February 2006. Little did I know I was signing up for two decades of early starts, late finishes and more high vis jackets than any human should legally own

Since then, I’ve worn more hats than a duty-free shop I’ve helped:

• Open Cambridge Airport (no pressure at all)

• Support the G8 Summit at Belfast Airport (just a few world leaders nothing major)

• Secure the European Summit (because who doesn’t love a good summit?)

• And countless other projects that kept me busy, caffeinated and occasionally questioning my life choices.

In 2019, I joined the Bristol Airport team permanently, and that’s where you’ll still find me and where I fully intend to stay until I retire or someone finally catches me hiding in the break room with a biscuit

Looking back, it’s been quite a ride The ups have definitely outnumbered the lows, and ICTS has given me more memories, laughs and stories than I could ever fit into one message. Here’s to the next chapter preferably working fewer Fridays.”

I’m now working in security patrol in the Virgin car park, a role I genuinely enjoy The best part of my job has always been meeting new people passengers, colleagues, and the many wonderful employees across the airport. I’m proud of the career I’ve built and look forward to many more years with ICTS.”

“Over the past two decades, Elvir has shown incredible dedication, professionalism, and loyalty to the company His hard work has not gone unnoticed.

Elvir is someone we can always rely on, and that reliability is extremely valued within our team He has contributed not only through his strong performance, but also through his positive attitude and ongoing commitment

On behalf of everyone at ICTS, I want to sincerely thank Elvir for his dedication and loyalty” - Szczepan Skiba, Operations Manager, ICTS Ireland.
