MEETINGS AND EVENTS
The Lygon Arms has been hosting meetings and events for much of its 600-year history; our historical coaching inn of importance and central to the planning and plotting of both sides during the civil war that resulted in the Battle of Worcester that shaped British politics.
If only walls could talk!
Today, The Lygon Arms offers an atmospheric, cosy retreat for meetings and events. The Lygon sits in the heart of the chocolate box, quintessentially English village of Broadway - the jewel of the Cotswolds. Accessible, just two hours from London and hour from Birmingham and Bristol, making it an excellent central meeting location with ample free parking and helipad.

Behind the 14th-century coaching inn’s façade are three elegant, historical function rooms and an immaculately maintained 3-acre secret garden, offering ample space for a variety of events inside or out. Countryside pursuits, activities or experiences can be tailored to suit your time and budget. Perfect for client meetings, events, incentives or teambuilding.

The Lygon Arms are delighted to have partnered with FuturePlus, an award-winning sustainability management and reporting platform that empowers companies to understand, measure, evidence and report sustainability impact and goals.
Through this programme we have adopted a future-focused view of what makes a sustainable business, assessed across five key themes: Climate, Environment, Social, Economic and Diversity and Inclusion, measuring our current impact, what we want to achieve in the future and helping us to achieve this.
• Committing to the sensitive custodianship of the hotel and estate, maintaining and protecting the historical building and its heritage.
• Conducting all business dealings with integrity and respect to human rights, promoting safety and the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
• A commitment to legality and a willingness to observe community values and protect the natural environment.
• Communicating our environmental and corporate social responsibility policy to all teams and managers. Developing greater awareness of the importance of implementing the strategy, including establishing annual departmental awards and nominating ‘champions’ within the teams to drive forward initiatives.
• Continuing to operate sound business practices which identify the financial and environmental importance of reducing waste, improving energy efficiency and conserving and recycling materials.
• To make guests visiting our property aware of our corporate social responsibility policy and the initiatives taken, and to actively seek to improve our levels of service without prejudicing our guests’ enjoyment.
• To review the environmental policies of all our suppliers and actively encourage good environmental practice wherever possible.
• To continue to source local produce within the framework of good financial management without compromising on the quality of the ingredients supplied.
• To work with the environmental agencies to monitor the flora and fauna on all our estates.
• Good stewardship of the estates including the planting of native species of trees, developing wildlife habitats and minimising our environmental impact on the areas of special interest.
• To actively lobby against any activities which could prejudice the harmony and amenity of the environment and community locally.
• To work with schools and colleges to promote initiatives to train and develop skills amongst their students and to take part in national and international training initiatives that support good practice, service and environmental awareness.
• To work with nominated local charities and organisations to assist in their fundraising and environmental awareness campaigns when possible.
• To encourage clients using the meeting and conference facilities within Iconic Luxury Hotels’ properties to participate in local schemes that ‘give-back’ to the community, including clean-up campaigns, working on projects for schools and community schemes.

As part of our commitment to sustainability The Lygon Arms is a Forest Champion for The Heart of England Forest, an exciting and ambitious charity helping to reverse centuries of woodland decline by dedicated planting and protecting of a magnificent 30,000-acre forest stretching through Warwickshire and Worcestershire. We champion a number of established forest trees each year in addition to making a donation from each day delegate rate package sold at The Lygon Arms to the charity to support their goals.
