Primavera Sound, a music festival not to be missed, is turning Barcelona into an international music capital for yet another year. We are delighted to present you with this booklet and its fantastic line-up of Catalan music, and we hope it will serve as a useful companion when planning your week.
We would also like to welcome you to Primavera Pro, the global meeting point for the music industry that we are sponsoring, and invite you to the Primavera Pro Welcome Party, organised by the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC) and its internationalisation brand, Catalan Arts. Bad Gyal
From pioneering urban music in Catalan to embracing Jamaican and Latin rhythms, Bad Gyal has built a unique global sound. Her journey from local breakthrough to international star deserves celebration.
Doppelganger
Doppelganger is a key member of MUSA, which sees the dancefloor as a space for freedom and transgression. Doppelganger helps make Barcelona’s club scene more inclusive.
Hadren
Hadren is a sound designer, producer and DJ from Barcelona. You may have noticed his striking blue alter ego, with which he builds a unique universe around his musical project. His style fuses deconstructed club, avant-pop, ambient and techno.

kara boi
kara boi is the new alter ego of Barcelona singer Cris Llobet, who debuted in 2021 as Krissia. Her first album was in fact titled kara boi, a name she now adopts for this new artistic chapter. Shows at PS 2026
Kris Tena
Kris Tena creates intimate, poetic music blending sounds, languages and styles. Her songs are slow emotional journeys led by voice and guitars, balancing fragility and strength through deep lyrics.
LaBlackie
In a crowded urban scene full of fleeting personalities, LaBlackie stands out with an international sound that bridges American Dirty South influences and the Nuyorican tradition.
L’arannà
L’arannà, formed by Anna Sala and Lara Magrinyà, blend tradition and experimentation through synths and traditional instruments like castanets, drums and the espasí: folk music for the future. Shows at PS 2026
Blau Atzavara. Xavier Puig
LHARA
LHARA is a Barcelona-based Basque artist of her time, blurring mainstream and underground pop, as both feed into her sonic universe. This openness shapes her sound and leads to memorable, hook-driven choruses.
M8nse
After moving from Chile to Barcelona, they launched the Latineo parties, creating a safe space for women and dissident communities. Thanks to Latineo, the Barcelona club scene is more fun and inclusive.
Malena
Malena, born in Argentina and based in Barcelona, has built a strong local presence over the past decade with sets blending Latin American influences and contemporary electronic music, reflecting a fluid 2026 club scene. Shows at PS 2026

Marc Piñol
Marc Piñol knows the Barcelona club scene like few others. Cofounder of Hivern Discs and longtime Nitsa Club resident, he has helped connect the local scene with international circuits, with a strong focus on acid and disco.

Ósserp
Even within radical genres, there are sonic extremes. Ósserp, a Barcelona quartet, push grindcore to intense limits, with music that feels overwhelming and confronts listeners with the fragility of human existence.
Ouineta
Her career may be relatively short, but she is already opening new paths for Catalan-language pop, with a 360º artistic vision that goes beyond music, expanding into a broader, multi-disciplinary creative project.
Paco te quiero
Paco te quiero, still in the fledgling stages of their career, craft layered songs built step by step like a dessert. Their debut album hay un pez naranja en el suelo del metro blends distortion and melody, finding its space between shoegaze and dream pop.

Pavvla
Pavvla is the musical alter ego of Sant Cugat del Vallès resident, Paula Jornet. She began with acoustic folk as a teenager, moved into darker electronic sounds with Creatures (2016), and completed her early phase with Secretly Hoping You Catch Me.
Remei de Ca la Fresca
Remei de Ca la Fresca make political music through rage and despair, beyond traditional protest genres. Their free, spontaneous structures reflect their generation’s sense of alienation.
Renaldo & Clara
Renaldo & Clara, led by Clara Viñals, creates a Lleida-born city pop that invites us to ask strange, beautiful questions about music and sensation. Their five albums turn listening into an intimate, almost physical experience.
res_
res_ is a hybrid duo that blurs spoken word and sound design, treating electronic music as an experimental space between performance and composition.
Ignasi Sadurni
Rojuu
Rojuu began releasing music at a very young age and continues to evolve rapidly. Blending cloud rap, digital punk, emo revival and digicore, his work feels like messages from the future, constantly moving ahead of its listeners.
Safety Trance
Safety Trance is Luis Garbán’s latest alias, after more than fifteen years as Cardopusher. The Venezuelan producer remains focused on club music, now exploring new directions within dancefloor sounds beyond his earlier European techno work.
Salvana
Listen closely: beneath layers of distortion stacked like lasagne, heavy reverb and cavernlike vocals, there is Salvana. A Barcelona-based band that mutates the shoegaze tradition, expanding and reshaping it by fusing it with other sounds to carve out their own path.

Serpent
Is there anything beyond a genre already labelled “post”? Serpent prove post-hardcore is no final destination, rejecting nostalgia for a furious, non-conformist sound rooted in the present.
st.frances
st.frances is the pet project of Frances Ribes Renshaw, a multidisciplinary artist with British and Catalan roots based in Barcelona. His grunge-pop songs have become embedded in the city’s art scene, while also extending into dance and performance art.

The Clothes
The Clothes is the collaboration of Kool Music (Jasper Baydala) and Catalan artist Ubaldo (Andreu Serra). Their debut blends improvised slowcore sounds recorded between Amposta and Glasgow, like overhearing their creative sessions.
Ven’nus
When asked about her stage name, Ven’nus said Venus “makes her laugh because it’s the only planet that orbits backwards”. Nearly five years after starting her pandemic-era project, she is now firmly part of the new wave of Catalan pop, thriving alongside it.

Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC) - Catalan Arts
The Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC) is a public institution under the Catalan Ministry of Culture that oversees the development and consolidation of the Catalan creative sectors in order to boost their professionalisation. The ICEC advises and accompanies Catalan companies in their development process in sectors such as music, performing arts, visual arts, audiovisual media, books and digital culture. It offers grants and financing tools, as well as services for internationalisation, business and audience development.
Catalan Arts is the ICEC’s brand for the international promotion of Catalan companies. With a network of European offices (Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, London and Paris), the ICEC works in a variety of areas of action to connect, accompany and support the internationalisation of creative businesses. To this end, Catalan Arts strengthens the presence of companies and their creations at international fairs and major professional events and publishes resources for professionals.
