BLOOM® foam • BLOOM® foam have similar material properties to EVA, the most common material used for midsoles and insoles. • Gives less CO2 emissions. • By harvesting the algae and recirculating the fresh water back it also helps to keep the nature in balance by removing harmful and toxic algae growth. • By mixing virgin EVA with BLOOM® foam, it lowers our dependency on non-renewable oil based resources.

Leather Working group (LWG)

RWS (Responsible Wool Standard)

LWG organizes the leather manufacturing industry to make sustainability improvements. An LWG certified factory has reduced water and energy use, harmful chemicals and improved the working environment. Leather factories (tanneries) can become LWG Gold, Silver or Bronze rated. Icebug uses only Gold rated leather (except for safety shoes).

RWS is a global standard that focus on the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on. There is a third party certification in each stage of the supply chain.

GRS (Global Recycled Standard)

Bluesign

GRS is an international third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices as well as chemical restrictions. This is a way of knowing that the recycled material that you buy, truly is recycled.

Bluesign certified textiles do not contain any harmful substances along their supply chain. Bluesign® have strict criterias to approve chemicals, processes and materials to make sure that products are safe for people and the environment. ®

FINDING THE RIGHT TRAIL RUNNING SHOE Our motto at Icebug is that the outdoors is for everybody and we think that everyone can be a trail runner. Especially with the help of the right shoes. There are two main things to consider to get the shoes right. What you and your feet need (style of running and pace, landing heel, midfoot or forefoot, wide or narrow and stiff or flexible feet) and what the terrain you will run demands. Will it be off-trail and very uneven? Technical or smooth? Rocky or soft? Flat or steep? Wet or dry? Loose or firm?
