IC Community Unites to Support Displaced Families In keeping with IC’s long-standing commitment to empathy and responsibility, IC leadership, together with the IC Responsibility Unit (AGC, CAS, CCSL) and the Outreach Program within the ERC, launched a school-wide relief initiative to support displaced families in Lebanon. This effort was quickly reinforced by the active engagement of the Ras Beirut and Ain Aar Parents’ Committees, who mobilized the wider parent community. The initiative also actively engaged students, reflecting IC’s continued commitment to meaningful civic responsibility and collective action. Building on this momentum, students, faculty, staff, and parents across campuses came together in a collective act of solidarity. In-kind donations were generously provided by families and community members, including essential items such as food supplies, hygiene products, clothing, books, and toys. Collection points across campuses ensured the efficient organization and distribution of these contributions to families in need. At the Ras Beirut campus, students played an active role by preparing cold meals and desserts at the Community Kitchen, reflecting the school’s commitment to responsible civic engagement and collective action. All distributions are coordinated through the national system, working alongside NGOs and other partners to support displaced families, including several public schools IC already
collaborates with, among them IB PYP candidate schools. This initiative highlights the strength and unity of the IC community. Through collaboration, generosity, and a shared sense of responsibility, the entire community continues to stand together in support of those facing difficult circumstances.
