LETTER NATS CHAPTER
We are very pleased to announce the creation of the new Ibero-American chapter, inside the International Region of The National Association of Teachers of Singing - NATS. The scope of this chapter is to promote learning experiences for any one interested in music from the Iberoamerican culture. The Ibero-American community refers to the American and European bicontinental space of Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries. (Reference: wikipedia)
Ibero American Chapter of Nats at the XV Congress National Singing Teachers (Ammca) in Mexico
We are so happy to share that the presentation of the Ibero-American Chapter of NATS was carried out with great success within the 70th anniversary of the Superior School of Music (ESM) of the State University of Juárez de Durango (UJED).
This event marked the o cial beginning of the XV Congress of the Association of Singing Teachers of Mexico (AMMCA). Intensive days of activities occurred from February 2nd to 4th. The participants were immersed in an atmosphere full of music, learning and collaboration. Conferences, workshops and special presentations were held enriching and strengthening our musical community.

As part of the international region conference, presentations and student hearings were held by member professors from the international region in general and from the Ibero-American chapter in particular. We encourage chapter members to present their research in the form of presentations (which could be done in Spanish/Portuguese with English subtitles as they were pre-recorded videos); invite your students to participate in the auditions (in classical music, musical theater or contemporary commercial singing, for all ages) in the next edition, the dates of which we will announce in a future newsletter.
