New foundations

Welcome to the first edition of The Coronet for 2018. It’s a new year, and I am excited to welcome a new member to The Ian Potter Cultural Trust team. Subhadra Mistry will be stepping into the role of Program Officer for the Cultural Trust. Subhadra’s background in arts and cultural management lends her a unique perspective to her role, and I look forward to seeing what Subhadra brings to the Trust. I would also like to thank Mairead Phillips, our previous Program Officer, for her contribution to the Trust and wish her all the best in her new role as Program Coordinator for The George Alexander Foundation. Our latest funding round saw sixteen emerging artists awarded Cultural Trust grants to travel to a diverse range of destinations and pursue a variety of professional development opportunities. As always, I look forward to hearing what comes of these opportunities, and encourage our grantees both past and present to share their stories with us. Craig Connelly
