Welcome to the second edition of The Coronet for 2024.
Applications have closed for the inaugural round of our new Ian Potter Creative Fellowships.This Fellowship opportunity was launched this year in collaboration with the Sidney Myer Fund's existing Creative Fellowships program. This prestigious Fellowship will see two individualAustralian artists receive $200,000 in tax-free grants paid over two years.The first two Ian Potter Creative Fellowship recipients are expected to be announced in early 2025.
Meanwhile, applications for The Ian Potter Emerging Performers Fellowships are now open.TheTrust has collaborated with theAustralian NationalAcademy of Music (ANAM) to
create opportunities to support its alumni. The Emerging Performers Fellowships provide two exceptionalANAM alums, whose career pursuits fall outside the traditional orchestral route, with mentorship and financial support to develop their musical practice. Applications open

The Fellowships are a joint initiative of The Ian Potter Cultural Trust andANAM to support twoANAM alumni in pursuing performance careers outside the traditional full-time orchestral and teaching pathways.
Cellist Mee Na Lojewski and violist Katie Yap were appointed as the inaugural Ian Potter Emerging Performers Fellows in February this year.

Each Fellowship is worth $100,000 ($50,000 each year for two years) and will be awarded annually through to 2028 to support outstandingANAM alumni.
Applications are now open and will close Sunday 29 September 2024 at 11.59PMAEST

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust received 119 applications for the EmergingArtist Grants in the latest funding round. From this highly competitive pool, 24 artists were awarded $296,112 in grants.
TheTrust's new grantees will undertake professional development opportunities in 14 countries, including Japan, Iceland and evenAustralia. Each project is specifically tailored to the artist's unique creative practice.

Sound artist and scholar Hayden Ryan explores the use of spatial audio technologies across his body of work.
In 2022, he received an EmergingArtist Grant to support his Master of Music degree at NewYork University
After graduating in 2024 and moving back toAustralia, he has reflected on his learnings abroad and shared his future projects and ambitions.

The next Funding Round will open in November. Grants of up to $15,000 will support emerging artists in their pursuit of professional development opportunities.
Applications open: Tuesday 12 November 2024
Applications close: Tuesday 14 January 2025 at 5PMAEDT.
