CEO Paul Conroy with 2024 Scholar Clancy at Murdoch University, March 2024
CEO Update
Welcome to the second and final edition of Campus for 2024. With spring approaching, there are some things I'd like to update you on.
We held the GAF Community Welcome Workshop in May, which saw many of our commencing and ongoing scholars and fellows make connections with one another. In August, we also held the Resilient Leaders Workshop, which is designed to provide helpful tips for keeping in your life skills toolkit.
In June, we welcomed our new Communications & Engagement Coordinator, Bianca Suparto Some of you may have already met Bianca at the GAF Scholar Network events at your university, alongside the Foundation's Program Manager, Mairead Phillips.
On a sadder note, we bid farewell to Mairead, who has been a powerhouse in running GAF since she commenced the role in 2019. Her passion and commitment to the role have absolutely transformed our GAF programs. She will surely be missed, and we wish her the best in her future endeavours.
Thank you to those who attended our Scholar Network events throughout 2024. We hope you enjoy the newest batch of GAF-branded Frank Green water bottles. Let these water bottles serve as a reminder of your determination and hard work, which afforded you these opportunities. We hope your participation in the GAF community motivates you to build your own legacy, just like George envisioned.
With the end of the year rapidly approaching, I wish you all the best with the rest of the semester.
Paul Conroy CEO
