Meaning:Thepromiseof"havingallsufficiencyinall things"comesrightafter"Godlovethacheerfulgiver."God doesnotpromisetomakeusrich,butHedoespromise"all sufficiency."Thisisaguaranteeofsatisfactionand contentedness.ThecontentmentthatGodpromisedisin"all things,"notjustinfinances.Sufficiencyismoreabouthaving enoughthanitisabouthavinganabundance.
Application:Twokeystoreceivingthepromiseof God'ssufficiencyisprayer(Mark11:24)and giving(Philippians4:15,19).Noone'scompetency inanyareaisbecauseofhimself;allofourabilities andopportunitiescomefromGod(IICorinthians 3:5).Philippians4:13saysitbest,"Icandoall thingsthroughChristwhichstrengthenethme."In whateverareawearelacking,wecanclaimthe promisethat"oursufficiencyisofGod."
