Meaning:God'sWordisagreathelpinprayer.Itallowsus toprayaccordingtoHiswill.ItwasE.M.Boundswhosaid, "Thereisnolimittotheprovisionsincludedinthepromises toprayer,andnoexclusionfromit'spromises."Ifwebutask, seek,andknock,wehavebeenpromiseditshallbegiven, shallbefound,anditshallbeopeneduntous.SinceGod "cannotlie"(Titus1:2)theBibleisacouponbookreadyto givetothosewhoask,accordingtowhatHehaspromised.
Application:Prayerputsourfaithinthepromisesof Godintopractice.FaithissimplytakingGodatHis Word,and"believing,yeshallreceive"(Matthew 21:22).EventhoughGod'spromisesare"exceeding greatandprecious"(IIPeter1:4),withoutprayer,they arelikefruitwithinreachthatgoesunpicked.Prayer takesholdofthepromise!Greatthingscanhappenasa resultofGod'spromisesandtheChristian'sprayers.
