Meaning:Theclosingwordstoourprayers"inJesus name,"isnotsomemagicalquoteoravainrepetition. Whenwesay"inJesusname"wearesaying,"my prayerscanbeansweredbecauseofJesus."Without Jesus,wewouldhavenoaccesstotheFather,and withoutpraying"inJesusname,"wehavenorightto haveourprayersanswered.
Application:Jesus'nameislikeasignatureona check.Thenameatthebottomofthecheck guaranteesthereceivertheamountofthecheck. WhenweendourprayersinJesus'name,weare sayingHeistheguaranteeforwhatweare asking.EvennowJesusisattherighthandofthe Fathermaking"intercessionforus"(Romans 8:34).HowmuchmorewouldourHeavenly Fatherdoforusifwewouldprayinthenameof HisSon.TheFatherisglorifiedintheSon.
