Meaning:Theword"delight"meansapleasureor acceptance.Godispleasedwithprayers,specifically whentheyareofferedbytheupright.Alltheprayersof God'schildrenareheard,butnotallofthemarepleasing toHim.Justasanearthlyfatherishappytoanswerthe requestofanobedientchild,soourHeavenlyFather delightsintheprayersofHischildrenwhowalkuprightly.
Application:Knowingthattheprayerofthe uprightisHisdelight,shouldbeamotivetobe uprightandtopray.GodpromisedinIJohn3:22, "Andwhatsoeverweask,wereceiveofhim, becausewekeephiscommandments,anddothose thingsthatarepleasinginhissight."Disobedience toGod'sWordbreaksfellowship,whileobedience toGod'sWordencouragesit.Thecloserweareto God,themoreofadelightourprayersaretoHim, andthemoreapttheyaretogetanswered!
