Meaning:Jesusgavethisparableoftheunjustjudgein Luke18:1-8toteach,"thatmenoughtalwaystopray,and nottofaint."Thestoryisofawidowwhoaskedanunjust judgetoavengeherofheradversary.Thoughhewas unjust,hedidsobecauseofher"continualcoming."How muchmorewillGodavengeHisownchildrenthatcry untoHim"dayandnight"thoughHebearlongwiththem?

Application:Thereispowerinpersistentprayer. Jesusknewthatwewouldgrowwearyinpraying. Throughthisstoryweseethatherwidowhood, weakness,friendlessness,andenemiesdidnot accountforanythingwiththeunjustjudge,buther persistencedid!Unbeliefwillsquelchpersistent prayer."HethatcomethtoGodmustbelievethathe is,andthatheisarewarderofthemthatdiligently seekhim"(Hebrews11:6).God'sanswerstoprayer maybedelayed,butnotdeniedunlesswestop comingtoHimwithourrequests.
