Meaning:PrayercandoanythingGodcando,thusall thingsareavailabletoamanwhoprays.Ourtextisthe storyofAbrahamandSarahbeingtoldtheywouldhavea child.TheLord'squestiontoAbraham,"Isanythingtoo hardfortheLORD?"IsareminderthatGodcando anything.Isaacwasborntoamotherof90yearsoldandto afatherwhowas100yearsold,becauseGodcandothe impossible.
Application:TheBibleisfullofprayermiracles.A fewwouldincludethesunstandingstill,firefalling fromHeaven,childrenborntothebarren,theblind, deaf,andlamehealed,andpeoplebroughtbacktolife. TheGodoftheBibleistheGodoftoday,andHeis stillcapableofperformingmiracles(Hebrews13:8). Somemiracleswereperformedbecauseoftheprayers ofthoseafflicted,otherswereperformedinanswerto theprayersofthefriendsofthoseafflicted.Ourlackof faithistheonlythingthatcanlimitthehandsof AlmightyGod.
