Meaning:Fellowshipmeanspartnership,participation,and communication.Godpromisesfellowshiptothosewhowalk inthelight.Verses8-10ofourtextmakesitclearthatsin keepsusfromwalkinginthelight.FellowshipwithGodis brokenbecauseofsin,butconfessionrestoresfellowship. GoddesirescommunicationwithHischildren,butwemiss outwhenweareinsin.
Application:Thereisadifferencebetween relationshiptoGodandfellowshipwithGod. Relationshipwasestablishedthedayyoubecamea childofGodthroughsalvation.Nothingcanbreak theFather-sonrelationship.Fellowshipiswhatwe shoulddodailywithourHeavenlyFather.However, fellowshipcanbeinterruptedbecauseof unconfessedsininourlives.Godpromises fellowshipwithHischildren,butwemustwalkin thelight.
