Welcome to the enlarged 11.1 issue of the IAFOR International Journal of Cultural Studies. While previous issues tended to be shorter, we are now receiving many more submissions, literally numbering in the hundreds for each issue. Nothing has changed, though, regarding the tradition of the IAFOR IJCS, to include articles in this issue hailing from many different areas of the world, with an emphasis on the Global South. Contributors also come from a multitude of backgrounds and include emerging talents as well as senior professors, providing a healthy mix of solid academic work and exiting applications of older and newer theoretical frameworks.
