Land Acknowledgement Hudson Valley Shakespeare operates on the ancestral homelands of the Lenape, Munsee, and Wappinger people. We gratefully acknowledge their stewardship of this land, in the past and the present. WELCOME! Welcome to Hudson Valley Shakespeare’s first season in our new home, the Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center! This extraordinary open-air theater was designed by the visionary architect Jeanne Gang to do something both ancient and (in today’s context) radical — to reunite performance, place, and people. Set into the landscape and open to the view beyond, its shape recalls the oldest Greek amphitheaters, and yet, it also somehow feels utterly of-themoment. It’s breathtaking, and it’s also highly functional for theatermaking. It’s a marvel of design. I also think it’s the kind of theater that our resident playwright, Mr. Shakespeare, would love. He wrote for open skies and shifting light, for a company of actors to play on a bare platform stage, and with the conviction that the audience has a crucial (and active!) role in any and every performance. His own timber-frame theater was called The Globe, because it was meant to encompass the whole world and all it contains: Here, there. Anywhere. Everywhere. In the Scripps Theater Center, I hope that together we can tap into that original spirit of playfulness and possibility. We’ve chosen this inaugural season to feature what this space craves, and this company does best – ensemble-driven plays that enlist the audience as co-conspirators in the unfolding of the drama. These plays are a rebuke to cynicism and an antidote to doomscrolling. They’re also wildly entertaining and theatrical. Tragedy, comedy, or musical – each is a celebration of human connection, which is what great theater is all about. To the many hands whose labor helped to create this theater, and to the circles of generosity that made it all possible, this miracle of a space is your gift to all of us. We can never thank you enough. On behalf of HVS’s staff, Board, and company of artists, I want to welcome you under this new roof and into this next chapter. May this place feel, from the start, like somewhere you already belong.

Hudson Valley Shakespeare (HVS) is a professional non-profit theater company that presents a rotating repertory season of both Shakespeare and more contemporary plays and musicals in an openair theater overlooking the Hudson River. Founded in 1987, HVS’s critically acclaimed body of work is forged from the most essential of elements – actors, audience, language, and landscape. The company’s spectacular 98-acre campus serves as a vibrant hub for the local community, a cultural and educational anchor for the region, and a national model for environmental sustainability in the performing arts. After 38 years of performing in a seasonal tent, this summer HVS will welcome audiences to its first-ever permanent home – the Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center, designed by the celebrated architecture firm Studio Gang. Protected from the elements but open to the landscape, the Scripps Theater Center is slated to be the first purpose-built LEED Platinum theater in the United States.

Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center is fitted with a T-coil loop. This hearing assistive technology uses a magnetic field to transmit sound directly to a hearing aid with a telecoil (t-coil) receiver. AS YOU LIKE IT Director’s Bio Miriam Laube, Director
Miriam is a director, actor and educator. Credits include: King James (Pioneer Theater), Much Ado About Nothing (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Queen (TheatreWorks Silicon Valley), The Tempest (Santa Cruz Shakespeare), Associate Director, The Many Deaths of Laila Starr (Minnesota Opera), Pirates of Penzance and Oklahoma (Oregon Shakespeare Festival). Acting credits include: 20 seasons at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival where she originated the roles of Gynecia in Head Over Heels. Miriam was seen on Broadway in Bombay Dreams and has worked with The Public Theater, St. Ann’s Warehouse, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Dallas Theater Center, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, and The Guthrie Theater among others. She is a recipient of both the Lunt-Fontanne and Fox Fellowships and sits on the Board of Play On Shakespeare. Miriam serves as a Text and Acting Coach, in the Vocal Arts Department at The Juilliard School. She is honored to be directing in the inaugural season of the beautiful Samuel H. AS YOU LIKE IT Director’s Note …All night I rose and fell, as if in water, grappling with a luminous doom. By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times into something better. — Sleeping in the Forest by Mary Oliver Three summers ago, my mother passed away and I found myself in the city wrestling with the “luminous doom”. But it wasn’t until I left the noise, and “the other hundred people that got off of the train”, and the stimulus overload — it wasn’t until I went into nature that I could hear my mother again. I could hear her voice, calling me to myself, through mother earth. I had the space to listen to my own breath. I think that is the power of the Forest of Arden — it calls you to listen to who you are and confront who you could be. Our play begins in darkness. With banishment and exile. With people torn from their homes and families. A scene that resonates with us as we have watched it played out in our neighborhoods. But unlike our contemporary reality, once in the forest, Rosalind and Orlando, are greeted with welcome. Duke Senior says to Orlando “sit down and feed and welcome to our table” and with those simple words, our play turns from a tragedy to a comedy. We watch as Rosalind wrestles with and releases into the luminous doom, by choosing to live authentically. And yes, we learn with Rosalind that choosing
to live authentically means choosing who you are going to love. She says to her prospective husband “To you I give myself for I am yours.” In Arden, love is not transactional. It is given and chosen freely. Along with Rosalind we explore all kinds of love in the forest. Romantic, familial, carnal, unrequited, and gender fluid. The forest becomes a celebration of Love — as you like it. I’ll end by saying that when Davis invited me to Garrison to visit the spot where the theater was to be built I thought “Well this IS the forest of Arden”. Both as a place of extraordinary natural beauty, and as a theater, it calls audience and actors together, to listen and wrestle with the luminous doom, and vanish a dozen times into something better. Davis McCallum is in his twelfth season as the Artistic Director of HVS, where he has directed productions of The Matchmaker, Henry V, Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, Cymbeline, Richard II, The Winter’s Tale, Measure for Measure, and the rolling world premiere of The Book of Will. Notable productions in New York include Greater Clements and The Harvest (Lincoln Center Theater); Lewiston/Clarkston (Rattlestick – Drama Desk nomination for Best Play); Stupid Fucking Bird (Pearl); Fashions for Men and London Wall (Mint - Drama Desk and Lortel nomination for Best Revival); The Whale (Lortel Award for Best Play, and Calloway nomination for Best Director) and Pocatello (Playwrights Horizons); Water by the Spoonful (Second Stage – Pulitzer Prize for Drama); and February House (The Public). KING LEAR Director’s Note I sit in the theater and look out at Storm King Mountain, and think: well… King Lear is like that huge immovable piece of rock. We can try to take its measure, but it’s wider and bigger than we can yet comprehend. It seems to be a play about… everything. (And Nothing.) The internet says that the granite that makes up Storm King Mountain is over 1 billion years old. How do we get our grappling hooks into something so… elemental? My starting place (base camp, to torture the metaphor) is the fact that, at the end of the day, this is a story about two fathers. One has three daughters; the other, two sons. In both families, the father’s love is unevenly parceled out — bestowed, withheld, or distorted. From these imbalances, Shakespeare builds a circumstance in which the bond between fathers and children has within it the power to wrench the whole world off its axis. The two fathers lose everything in a chaos of their own making. “Who is it that can tell me who I am?” Lear asks. In the storm, stripped of Kingship, of power, of shelter, of sanity, Lear discovers the image (and the first-person experience) of “unaccommodated man.” In loosing everything, he gains a new kind of perspective of his place in the world of other people, the ability to “see feelingly.” Privilege has blinded him; suffering connects him. In the rehearsal room, Kurt Rhoads is leading the way with extraordinary courage and commitment (and humor). I can’t wait to see our play on the stage of the Scripps, with Storm King looming in the distance. My hope is that, with the help of the audience, we’ll arrive at the top of the mountain, and together catch a glimpse of something beautiful and profound. Lear’s last words in the play gesture to the horizon: “Look there, look there!”.

Jenn Thompson directs widely in NYC and across the country, moving between large-scale musicals, classical theatre, contemporary plays, and new works. She is thrilled to return to HVS after directing Into the Woods (2019). Recently, her acclaimed three-year national tour of Annie culminated in an extended Madison Square Garden run starring Whoopi Goldberg. Other New York credits include her work with Mint Theater Company, notably Women Without Men (Drama Desk and Lortel nominations for Outstanding Director and Revival). As Co-Artistic Director of TACT/The Actors Company Theatre, she led and directed a wide-ranging body of work, from world premieres like The Gravedigger’s Lullaby to revivals including Abundance (Off-Broadway Alliance Award) and Lost in Yonkers (Drama Desk nomination). Regional audiences have seen multiple productions at South Coast Repertory, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Denver Center, Hartford Stage, Goodspeed Musicals, Arizona Theatre Company, St. Louis Rep, Barrington Stage, Two River, and Portland Stage, among others. LES MISÉRABLES Director’s Note I’ve been dreaming of this version of Les Misérables in this place for nearly seven years. Of course this theatre didn’t even exist yet. Both lived, at that point, only in the realm of possibility—ambitious, a little improbable, rooted in belief more than certainty. And yet, here we are. What began as a notion is now something we stand inside. Shout inside. Sing inside. Something we can test against the horizon. Les Misérables itself arrives with a kind of certainty. Its scale, its music, its place in the culture feels decided, almost immovable. But, of course, that’s a lie. All great works compel us to meet them in this moment alone. To couple our mightiest expectations with our most humble present selves. What I thought I knew about this piece has shifted as we’ve built it— alongside this theatre, alongside one another. The story hasn’t changed, but our way inside it has. It asks us to let go of our assumptions and trust what’s right in front of us: the bodies, the voices, the air, the light, the river beyond. This production is rooted in that same belief that brought this theatre into being—not certainty, but a shared act of imagination, faith, and work. A willingness to build something without knowing exactly how it will land.
To adjust. To respond. To keep reaching for clarity and beauty in real time. Nothing here holds still. It lives only because we do—with you.

Haley Rose Ciaramella (Les Misérables)
Haley Rose is thrilled to make her Hudson Valley Shakespeare debut as Éponine in Les Misérables, a role she is ecstatic to revisit after portraying her at the 2025 Jimmy Awards. Other recent credits include her Missouri State University debut in Broadway Giants (Featured Soloist), Great Comet (Sonya), Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas), and Heathers (Veronica). Aamar-Malik Culbreth* (King Lear, Les Misérables) Aamar-Malik is a multi-disciplinary performance artist originally from North Carolina and he is so grateful to be back at HVS!!! He is a Next Wave Initiative Scholar winning the Hattie McDaniel Acting Scholarship and was awarded a Cleveland Critics Circle Theater Award for his work in Jitney! Zack Fine* (King Lear, As You Like It)
Zack Fine is thrilled to be back at HVS where he has worked gleefully as an actor, writer, director, and teacher. He’s appeared on Broadway and Off as well as numerous regional theaters, and been spotted on TV a few times, apparently. He teaches at the University of Texas at Austin and is a founding faculty member of the Fiasco Theater Conservatory.
Jose Gamo* (As You Like It) Jose Gamo is a Filipino artist born and raised in Indonesia. Brian Kim McCormick (Les Misérables)
Brian Kim McCormick is delighted to be making his HVS debut with one of his favorite musicals! As a Korean Adoptee raised in MN, he has brought both artistry and activism to his career through inclusion and accessibility. Brian currently calls LA his home, but his work has taken him around the country and intentionally. Recent credits include the new adaptation of Brigadoon (Pasadena Playhouse), Pacific Overtures (East West Players), West Side Story (LA Opera), The Prom (Forestburgh Playhouse), 12 Angry Men: a New Musical (Asolo Repertory), Tiger Style! (TheatreSquared), and Little Shop of Horrors (South Coast Repertory) helmed by Jenn Thompson. Brian is also a Voiceover Artist who can be heard in many English Dubs including “Squid Game,” “Culinary Class Wars” and “The Light Shop,” as well as several cartoons like “Pokémon,” and “Yu-Gi-Oh” and audiobooks such as “Winston Chu versus the Whimsies” by Stacey Lee. Sean McNall* (As You Like It, King Lear)
Sean McNall returns to HVS for his 10th season, having appeared most recently in The Matchmaker, Comedy of Errors, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Henry V, and Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play. Before joining HVS as Associate Artistic Director and Director of Education, he spent 12 years as a member of NYC’s The Pearl Theatre Co, where he appeared in over 40 productions, receiving an OBIE, a Drama Desk, and the Actor’s Equity Callaway Award. He’s a graduate of the Juilliard School, and lives in Philipstown with his loves, Abigail and Declan.
Madelynn Sue Merced (Les Misérables)
Madelynn is excited to be making her regional theater debut with Hudson Valley Shakespeare! At just 9 years old, she has already developed a love for the stage through her work with Beacon Performing Arts Center. Some of her favorite roles with BPAC include Young Elsa in Frozen Kids and Shanti in Jungle Book Kids. Madelynn lives in New Windsor, NY and attends Fostertown Elementary School where she recently starred as Belle in Beauty and the Beast. In addition to performing, Madelynn plays the piano, softball, and competes in western horseback. She would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for their support and encouragement. Madelynn dedicates her performances this season to her late grandmother, Peggy, who loved Les Misérables.

Kurt Rhoads* (As You Like It, King Lear)
28 seasons at HVS. Some highlights: Vandergelder, Romeo, Tartuffe, Iago, Macbeth, Petruchio, Sir Toby, Launce, Benedick, G. Washington, and the Poet in An Iliad. King Lear marks the 77th play that he has worked with Nance Williamson. Earlier this year, they performed in a new play about missing and murdered indigenous persons, Can’t Drink Salt Water at Montana Rep. Alex Ross (Les Misérables)
Alex is delighted to be making his Hudson Valley Shakespeare debut with this wonderful team! Originally from Boston, he recently earned his BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College. Khloe Saclolo (Les Misérables)
Khloe Saclolo, a Hudson Valley native, is thrilled to make her debut with Hudson Valley Shakespeare. She first fell in love with the stage as Young Elsa in Frozen at Beacon Performing Arts Center, followed by the national tour of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! as Cindy Lou Who. Khloe sends love and gratitude to her family, Stephanie & Elizabeth at Ascend Talent Management, David Doan at CESD and vocal coach Amelia DeMayo for their continued support.
Ronald Sopyla (King Lear, As You Like It)
Ronald last appeared with HVS as a storyteller, telling the story of Medea and Jason as a prologue to performances of Medea: Re-Versed. Prior to that he was in the tent for The General from America and Our Town. He’s also gotten himself covered with glue and colored tissue paper as part of the Highland Lights lantern projects. He spent several seasons with the Alabama and Oregon Shakespeare Festivals, and toured the country with the first national tour of Amadeus. Working on his own, he has performed as a storyteller and puppeteer in schools, libraries and festivals throughout the Northeast. He currently mentors new theater teachers for a joint project with the NYCDOE and The Arthur Miller Foundation. He is thrilled to be included in this first season in the new theater. Christian David Tinajero is excited to make his professional Shakespeare debut and revisit Les Misérables, which was his first professional show as Gavroche. Nance Williamson* (King Lear, Les Misérables)
Nance Williamson is so very thrilled to return to HVS for a 25th season. Over the years Nance and her husband Kurt Rhoads have been privileged to play some of Shakespeare’s complex couples — Macbeths, Anthony and Cleopatra, Beatrice and Benedict, Romeo and Juliet to name a few. Other favorite HVS roles include Portia, Tamora, Chorus, Mrs. Malaprop , and last season’s Margaret 3. Nance has been on Broadway in Cyrano de Bergerac, Henry IV, Romeo and Juliet and Broken Glass. In her 42-year career, Nance has performed nationally and internationally in theater, film, and television.
Josh Young* (Les Misérables) After two seasons as a company member of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Josh received a Tony Award nomination and won the Theatre World Award for his Broadway debut as Judas Iscariot in the Stratford transfer of Jesus Christ Superstar. He later originated the role of John Newton in the Broadway premiere of Amazing Grace. Credits include: Che in the national tour of the Tony Award–winning revival of Evita, Marius in the national tour of Les Misérables, and Tony in the 50th Anniversary world tour of West Side Story. Josh is the Endowed Coordinator of Musical Theatre at Missouri State University. (Les Misérables) Choreographer Rhett Guter is thrilled to return to HVS after choreographing Into The Woods. The Music Man, Anything Goes, and Peter and the Starcatcher at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Carl Howell
(As You Like It) Music Supervisor
Carl is a guitar and piano-playing actor who loves bringing Shakespeare’s lyrics bursting to life. Previously at HVS, he has served in key musical positions for Ray Bokhour’s arrangements and score for Twelfth Night (2008 / John Plummer, director) and Love’s Labour’s Lost (2023 / Amanda Dehnert, director and co-composer). He is thrilled to wear so many hats this season onstage and off, and to work alongside Miriam and Amanda to deliver musical magic in this glorious new space.

HVS LEADERSHIP Davis McCallum Artistic Director
Davis is in his twelfth season as Artistic Director of HVS, and is honored to lead the company alongside Managing Director Kendra Ekelund. Under McCallum’s leadership, HVS moved to its current 98-acre campus, and opened the Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center, establishing itself as a major cultural anchor for the Hudson Valley community. For HVS, he has directed productions of The Matchmaker, Henry V, Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, Cymbeline, Richard II, The Winter’s Tale, Measure for Measure, and the rolling world premiere of Lauren Gunderson’s The Book of Will. Notable productions in New York include Greater Clements (LCT), Lewiston/Clarkston (Rattlestick – Drama Desk nomination for Best Play), The Harvest (LCT3); Stupid Fucking Bird (Pearl), Fashions for Men and London Wall (Mint – Drama Desk and Lortel nomination for Best Revival); The Whale (Lortel Award for Best Play, and Calloway nomination for Best Director) and Pocatello (Playwrights Horizons); Water by the Spoonful (Second Stage – Pulitzer Prize for Drama); and February House (The Public). Other NYC credits include Signature Theatre, The Acting Company, 13P, Clubbed Thumb, Play Company, Page 73, and the New Victory. Regional credits include the Denver Center, Dallas Theater Center, South Coast Rep, Old Globe, Guthrie, OSF, the O’Neill, American Shakespeare Center, Williamstown, Humana Festival, others. A graduate of Princeton, he studied Shakespeare at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, and trained as a director at LAMDA. He has taught acting and directing at Columbia, Princeton and The New School for Drama. He lives in Cold Spring, and is the father of two teenage sons, Thomas and Angus.
Kendra Ekelund Managing Director
A practical, people-first executive, Kendra is committed to environmental, human, and financial sustainability and to using the arts to foster inclusive, creative communities. In her tenure, HVS has evolved from a celebrated seasonal festival into a regional cultural anchor with an expanded campus and business portfolio. Since joining HVS in 2022, Kendra has led the organization in settling into its first-ever permanent home in Garrison, including the integration of The Garrison, Folio restaurant, and the Inn into HVS’s operating structure. She is deeply proud and grateful to have worked alongside the extraordinary staff, crew, and company who brought HVS’s final seasons in the iconic blue tent to life, and further, the exemplary company, staff, and crew who have joined this year to open HVS’ first-ever permanent performance venue: The Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center. (Hey, team: We did it!)

In close partnership with Artistic Director Davis McCallum, Kendra helped translate a once-in-a-generation opportunity into a tangible, buildable plan and drove the momentum to realize it. Together, they have shepherded the ROOTED Campaign, advancing the development of HVS’s campus, and bringing the Scripps Theater Center from approvals and fundraising into active construction. This progress positions the company to open its inaugural season in 2026 in a Studio Gang– designed open-air theater with the Hudson River as a dramatic backdrop. In parallel, Kendra has advanced the construction of on-site Artist Lodging and ongoing fundraising for lodging and institutional reserves that will sustain mission-forward growth over time. Prior to joining HVS, Kendra served as the General Manager of the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY, and previously worked in casting and talent management for New York theater, film, and television. She holds a BFA in Drama from Syracuse University and a certificate in Arts Management from SUNY Purchase. A Lower Hudson Valley native hailing from Ossining, Kendra lives in Cold Spring with her family.
Terrence O’Brien Founding Artistic Director Terrence O’Brien co-founded HVS with actress Melissa Stern in 1987, and for 27 years,O’Brien was HVS’s artistic leader. During that time, he directed more than 30 of HVS’s productions, garnered significant critical acclaim in major press nationally, and built a very loyal audience who enthusiastically returned to our tent theater year after year. He co- authored, with Stern, HVS’s original Statement of Purpose, he developed and evolved HVS’s signature performance style, and he remains deeply dedicated to the idea that Shakespeare’s plays can be made accessible without sacrificing any of their depth and integrity. Over several years he developed an informal company of actors and artists, many of whom have developed lasting friendships, marriages, and in some cases, have had children. He performed his original one-man play, Popular Mechanics, for Bedlam in New York City. Under the auspices of Rehabilitation Through The Arts, he facilitated workshops and directed a cast of prisoners in his own adaptation of On the Waterfront at Sing Sing Correctional Facility. He directed Pimm’s Mission and The Memory Exam for Oberon Theatre Ensemble at 59E59. He directed The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey.

Through her production company, House of Cronk, she hosts Sarah’s Community Kitchen, a podcast about food, community building and activism, premiering this September. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, Kirsty has more than 20 years of professional experience working in the performing arts as a creative producer and marketing and communications professional. Most recently, Kirsty worked serving as the Executive and Programming Director at the Denizen Theatre, New Paltz. Previous roles include Director of Marketing for 59E59 Theaters, Associate Director of Communications for Actors Theatre of Louisville, and various PR and Marketing roles in her native Scotland including Tron Theatre, Citizens Theatre, and Edinburgh International Festival.

Laura is a senior finance executive with 25 years of experience in investment banking, legal, and nonprofit sectors. A lifelong Hudson Valley resident, she joins HVS during this milestone year, overseeing the financial transition as the theater completes its landmark construction and prepares for its highly anticipated 2026 grand opening!
Sean McNall
Assoc. Art Director & Director of Education Sean McNall is the Director of Education and Associate Artistic Director at Hudson Valley Shakespeare, where he also performs regularly as a member of the acting company. A passionate educator, advocate, and artist, Sean is leading the organization’s educational transition to a campusbased model, developing programs that welcome students and teachers to HVS’s home in Garrison. Sean’s current passion includes building programs that serve students with learning differences and support neurodivergent young people through creativity, connection, and choice.
Producing Director
Nora joined HVS in 2019 as the Director of Production and now oversees the artistic, production, and operations departments. Previous production management credits include 2ST, Atlantic Theater, Roundabout Underground. Nora studied Design and Production at Fordham College at Lincoln Center. She lives locally with her children & husband, owner of Bounty & Blooms gardening.
Ian Murdoch
Site & Facilities Coordinator Ian brings more than a decade of experience supporting artists, residencies, and creative campuses. Trained as a bassist, he cares deeply about live performance, creative community, and the connection between art and place.
Olivia Murray
Development Manager
Olivia began non-profit fundraising after receiving her Master’s in Music Leadership from Eastman School of Music. Olivia started her development and fundraising career with the Children’s Museum of Manhattan as Development and Campaign Associate. She is passionate about building mission-driven relationships with HVS patrons and the community.
Julia Ohara
Education Program Coordinator & Executive Assistant
Julia has spent her career in non-profit arts and education and joined HVS in 2023. She lives her life guided by creativity, sustainability, embodied play,
and collaborative endeavors. Outside of HVS, you can find her alchemizing with foraged materials, hiking, climbing, or reading while a delicious candle burns.
Martha Pearson
Director of Development
Originally from Toronto, Martha has worked in nonprofit arts and culture for over 20 years. She previously held fundraising roles at Boscobel House and Gardens, Irish Repertory Theatre, La MaMa, and BAM. She now lives in Cold Spring with her family.
Melle Powers Facilitator
Melle Powers’ recent projects include DEI/Culture for The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window (BAM & Broadway), CoProducing the Celebration of Black Voices festival for Barrington Stage Company; the development of antiracism trainings for several NYC metro school districts (working with Boards of Ed, Leadership Teams, faculty and students), and others. Melle teaches at NYU, delivering a course she created called “Resilience.” Melle is a “Certified Diversity Professional” (Diversity Society of America: MFA from NYU.)
Alejandro Rodriguez Facilitator
Alejandro is a playwright, performer and facilitator. He’s a Core Writer at the Playwrights Center, a former Artistin-Residence in the Everglades, and a 2024 O’Neill Center finalist. Claudia is a freelance Costume Designer and Stage Director based in the NY/NJ/CT area, having recently completed a year as the Associate Artistic Director at the SHAPE Performing Arts Center on a NATO base outside Brussels, Belgium. She studied musical theatre at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music and graduated from Baldwin-Wallace University in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently, she is the resident costume designer at Stage Left Children’s Theater in Tappan, New York, and is grateful to be returning for her ninth season as Wardrobe Supervisor at HVS.
