BRIMSDOWN FC

TODAY,WEWELCOMEOUROPPOSITION...

CLUB HISTORY

Brimsdown FC was established in 2013 by Lee Okugbeni, alongside Osbourne Powell and Peter Omondi, to reintroduce Non-League football to the Brimsdown area after the merger of Brimsdown Rovers with Enfield 1893 in 2010. Building on the success of an Under-18s side, the club entered the Molten Spartan South Midlands League, playing home fixtures on the secondary pitch at The Downs.

Despite early challenges, Brimsdown gained promotion in 2015 and went on to compete in the FA Vase, marking key milestones in the club’s rapid growth. In 2018, new leadership came in the form of Ahmet Toygun and Yilmaz Celik, both with extensive experience in football. Ahmet, who ran the North London Football Academy, began integrating youth development into the club’s structure.

By May 2020, he became the sole owner of Brimsdown FC, relaunching the academy, which now includes eight youth teams and offers a complete pathway from grassroots to senior football.

Following relegation from the Thurlow Nunn League in 2021–22, the club made an impressive comeback, winning the Essex Alliance Senior Division in 2022–23 and earning promotion back to the Thurlow Nunn League Division One South for the 2023–24 season.

Brimsdown FC remains committed to long-term development both on and off the pitch, with a clear ambition: to return to its roots in Enfield and establish a permanent home ground and training facility that serves as a true hub for the local community.

HUTTON FC HISTORY

The club was founded in 1928 and has been prominent in local football since that time with cup winner’s medals dating back to 1932. A key factor in the continued success of Hutton Football Club is the progression of young, local players. The senior teams played in the Mid Essex League until 1989 when progression was made into the Essex Intermediate, now the Essex Olympian League The Club expanded rapidly after 2005 with the merger of Hutton FC and Hutton Medway FC (established in 1969) The Club now has 70 teams based in our local community.

The current club house has been at the Polo Fields for over 50 years, two previous buildings being destroyed by fire, and the second one having been struck by lightning In 2010, the Clubhouse was vandalised and set on fire but has now been repaired and enhanced thanks to a large grant from Sport England.

Recent history has seen more rapid developments at the club The Football Association awarded Hutton FC with Charter Standard Community status which is the highest accreditation a club can achieve. In 2005, when the award was granted, there were only nine clubs in the whole of Essex with this status The Club is very proud to have been awarded Community Club of the year twice by Essex County FA The club has been encouraging girls to come and play for a number of years, and in 2005 the first official Hutton girls’ team was formed and since then, our Ladies 1st and reserve teams have been added to help with progression.

The Club has been involved in a European Tournament played against professional clubs' youth teams, with outstanding facilities. The Clubs are; Saint Ingbert (Germany), Rumelange (Luxembourg) and Zandhoven (Belgium). MATT ROSE, FIRST TEAM MANAGER

Afternoon all,

It’s great to be back at New Lodge for today’s game against Brimsdown.

The last game against Dunmow was a tough contest and one that had the potential to be a real banana skin for us, but the lads approached it in the right way. There were a lot of positives to take from the performance, but we’re also aware that there are areas where we can still improve. It’s important that we keep demanding high standards from ourselves and continue to develop

Brimsdown are a good side with plenty of quality in their squad, so we know it will be a tough challenge this afternoon. With seven games left, every match becomes even more important for us, and we need to approach each one like a cup final. We’ll need to be at our best, but I’ve got every confidence in the lads to step up, keep pushing, and deliver a strong performance.

As always, thank you for your continued support it really does make a difference. Let’s get right behind the lads this afternoon and continue to make New Lodge a tough place to come.
