K2 Base Camp Trek
The K2 Base Camp Trek is a world-class, high-altitude expedition spanning 12–14 days and over 90 kilometers through the legendary Karakoram range of northern Pakistan. This demanding journey leads trekkers to 5,150 meters (16,896 ft) at the foot of the world’s second-highest peak, K2. Along the way, adventurers cross vast glacial moraines, walk beside the mighty Baltoro Glacier, and witness iconic giants such as Broad Peak and Gasherbrum. The highlight is reaching Concordia often called the “Throne Room of the Mountain Gods” where four 8,000-meter peaks rise dramatically around you.
Location: Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan starting from Skardu and trekking via Askole. Best Time: Late June to September, when summer offers clearer skies and relatively stable weather.
Difficulty: High requires strong physical fitness and stamina for 6–8 hours of daily trekking on rocky and icy terrain.
