DIP & PACK

Soon after your hunting safari is complete, we will arrange for the collection of your trophies from your hunting outfitter. As soon as your trophies and paperwork have been received, our team will make contact and discuss your order.

If you wish to have your taxidermy processed at a later stage, we offer a Dip & Pack service. This is the sterilising process necessary to export any raw animal part across international borders.

CLEAN & BLEACH Our experienced team clean and bleach the skull, allowing it to be displayed on a wall, table or shelf. This allows for the additional option of tanning the hide for use as a rug or be manufactured into trophy mounts.

It is the removal of all flesh and tissue from skulls, horns and bones as well as the drying and bleaching of skulls and bones. The skin is dried, cleaned and treated with antibacterial products to ensure your trophy arrives in a dry, and pest free condition.

Quality is no coincidence. We bring extensive experience to the table when it comes to crafting your trophy in a way that honours the animal and your hunting memories from collection to final touch.

This is the process of turning the raw skin, which is susceptibe to degradation, into a durable product. Tanning of skins is a 3-month process.

SHOULDER MOUNT A shoulder mount makes use of the cape, skull and horns to mount with a choice of pose options. OFFSET SHOULDER MOUNT A more modern version of the traditional shoulder mount that shows more of one shoulder and thus the colour and beauty of the trophy. WALL PEDESTAL A wall pedestal makes use of the cape, skull and horns to create an off centre shoulder mount that presents your trophy hanging on the wall with one shoulder more exposed than the other. PEDESTAL MOUNT The pedestal mount makes use of the cape and is then mounted on a pedestal base that can be of any size. This is the best option if you have limited wall space or low ceilings. HALF MOUNT A half mount makes use of the cape and includes the front legs and hooves. The mount can hang from a wall or stand on the floor.

SKULL ON SHIELD (EUROPEAN MOUNT) With a skull on shield the skull is cleaned, bleached and cut before mounting on a wooden shield, allowing it to be displayed on a wall, table or shelf.

FULL MOUNT The full mount makes use of the full skin of your animal. It can be mounted on a base of the trophy’s natural habitat (e.g. artificial rock or tree, sand and vegetation) or on a polished, modern, designed base. All our bases are made bespoke for your trophy.

At Nyati Wildlife Art in Namibia), we believe that hunting in Africa represents a lifestyle that can be celebrated and expressed in many different ways. We therefore manufacture a wide variety of retail products that can be created using your trophies or otherwise supplied from our stock.

LOGISTICS OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:

• Collection of trophies from outfitter upon completion of the hunt and transport to our facility in Windhoek. • Packaging and storage of trophies following completion of cleaning and/or taxidermy and tanning work. • Arranging Cites inspections and ISO-coding of trophies where applicable. • Obtaining Export permits and Veterinary certificates. Cargo bookings and customs formalities. We connect to a worldwide network of trusted clearing agents specializing in the importation of hunting trophies.

TERMS CONDITIONS • Estimated Completion Times: - Taxidermy Mounts: 6 months from deposit date - Dip and Pack & Tanned Hides: 3 months from deposit date • 50% Deposit required to commence with work on order • Balance payable upon completion, prior to export • Packaging charges calculated at 15% of order value • Forex Transfer Fees: USD 37.50 • Export Permit and Veterinary Certificate: USD 80.00 • Export freight charges are calculated and quoted based on volumetric weight once trophies have been packed.
