CELEBRATING OLDER AMERICANS MONTH
FLIP THE SCRIPT ON AGING May is a time to celebrate and honor the vibrant lives, experiences, and contributions of older Americans. Annually, Older Americans Month provides a unique opportunity to recognize the essential role older adults play in shaping communities. This year’s theme, “Flip the Script on Aging,” encourages society to rethink the perception of aging and to celebrate the limitless potential and wisdom that comes with every stage of life. Gone are the days of viewing aging as a period of decline. It’s a time to embrace the richness, strength, and vitality that come with living a life full of experience! The “Flip the Script on Aging” theme invites everyone to acknowledge that aging doesn’t mean slowing down—it means adapting, evolving, and continuing to grow in new and exciting ways. In honor of Older Americans Month, the City of Fremont Age Well Centers are hosting an array of exciting events and programs designed to engage, inspire, and celebrate older adults. These fun activities are about promoting health, wellness, and connection with others.
