A You have a piece of Crown Milano glass produced by Mt Washington Glass Company of New Bedford, Massachusetts in the late 1900s It is an opaque white satin glass finished with light beige or ivory color ground decorated by painting and enameling When marked, pieces carry an entwined CM with crown in purple enamel on the base of the glass. When the pieces have silver-plated mounts, the metal will be marked with “MW” impressed or a Pairpoint mark as both Mount Washington and Pairpoint supplied mountings Crown Milano glass is prized by collectors Creamer/sugar sets can range between $750 to several thousand dollars Size, design, the amount of gold decoration and the complexity of the mounts seem to drive price and desirability

A Roycroft Industries of East Aurora, New York, was founded in 1895 by Elbert Hubbard, a flamboyant leader, directed, managed and paid artists and craftsmen to produce pottery, books, furniture and crafts of all sorts Roycroft Industries was solely owned by Hubbard and should not be confused with religious communities such as the Quakers or the Harmony Society The mark purportedly symbolizes “the hand of God over the earth” and the Roycroft name is a shortened version of the “Royal [God] Crafters ” Hubbard died on the ill-fated Lusitania in 1915
