“O Come, O Come Emmanuel” Skillet Apparently there is a recent “stink” in the Christian music scene over this song. It seems to be the lone scream 3 minutes in, that has people ruffled to hear in a Christian, much less Christmas song. Why did Skillet feel the need to scream in a song about Jesus being born? I’m not sure, seems to be an odd choice in my book. However, this recent decision on their part has led to an absolute soaring in people hearing their music– so I guess it worked out for them. What cracks me up is thinking of these upset people who apparently must have no idea that the Christian Metal and Hard Rock genre is alive and well– and this song isn’t “hard enough” to count. Oh well, their loss. We will not be coming out with an edition next week due to the holiday. Last weekend, our wonderful photographer, Michelle Carney took pictures at the Christmas Parade. Those photos, along with recent sports pictures can be found on The Howe Enterprise Facebook Page.
