Angel Tree Gifts Due by Next Monday!

The Howe Christmas Parade will be this Saturday followed by picture opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus This week, in the Patriot Pony there were several interesting world news events, including that apparently Chernobyl’s protective shield isn’t working anymore. Did anyone guess that one as a box for our collective “Dystopian Bingo Card?” I did notice something that might affect us more locally currently in the news this week– the “Farmer’s Aid Package”. I am curious to know how the changes in tariffs etc. have affected our local farmers, if at all? If you, or someone local in the farming industry that you know has been affected by these changes I would love to speak to them. Additionally, I would love to hear how any of your jobs have been or are projected to be affected by AI.

Classes from Summit Hill Elementary have been working hard on their letters to Santa Claus this week. In previous years, the letters the children wrote to Santa have been published in The Howe Enterprise and this year is no exception. To begin the season of letters we started this week with Mrs. Duncan’s second grade class. The letters can be found

in the “Howe ISD” section of the newspaper beginning on Page 4.

Also, please consider when looking at these lists the children who may not receive needs, much less wants this Christmas under the tree. The Angel Tree is an excellent way to help those children and families in need this year. I hope you enjoy the lists, we will continue them throughout the Christmas season.
