Myrick Steps Down from City Council, Woods Swears In
The Drifters School is out this week and High School graduation is this Saturday at 2 p.m.! I don’t care what the calendar says– if school is out it’s the summertime! There are so many songs to pick for the summer and we all know them, this one is an oldie but a goodie!
Many of us flock to Colorado in the summertime. Check out The Patriot Pony at the back of this publication to read about a new controversial law passed in the state of Colorado this last week. Saying the “wrong thing” could get you in some trouble with the law out there, these days. High School Principal Concludes 20+ Years of Service to Howe ISD Ashley Husbands As the school year comes to a close the Howe ISD Board of Trustees held their May monthly meeting this last Monday.
To begin the Teachers of the Year, seen in the May 8th edition of the paper, were recognized: Janice Pickett, for Howe High School, Dawna Snell for Howe Intermediate School, Nichole Wulf for Howe Middle School, and Kim Duncan for Summit Hill Elementary School. Howe Middle School recently held an event with the City Mayor, Karla McDonald to learn more about local politics. The High School will have their graduation
walk Friday morning, followed by Graduation this Saturday at 2p.m.. Mr. Phil Kempson, the Howe High School Principal will complete his final year with Howe ISD this year. “I would just like to thank all of you for supporting the administration of Howe ISD. Thank you for all of the support throughout the years and I enjoyed working with each of you.”, said Kempson. With presentation of a certificate, Howe Superintendent Kevin Wilson said, “We wish him the best, thank you for your time in Howe ISD, you talked about supporting the High School- you are very easy to support.
