City Announces Former City Administrator and Councilman Joe Shepard’s Passing

Texas Cookin” Guy Clark Don’t forget that the fundraiser for Mr. Morris tonight is at the Texas Roadhouse ANNA location, not Sherman. If you need some music to listen to on the way to get hungry try this one above– some lyrics are “I could eat the heart of Texas, We gonna need some brand new jeans! Ain't that Texas cookin' something, eat it everyday if I could! Don’t “ruin your supper” eating all those glorious rolls with cinnamon butter beforehand, you need your appetite, it’s for charity! Besides, I know from personal experience, if you ask they’ll send some home for later, with ya! property is owned by TCF and we are building it. Howe ISD is a key partner with us, the school district is funding and built the tennis courts that are there. Saddleback Ventures is a local landowner that dedicated the property and provided the street to get access to the park. Ultimately, when the park is finished, it will be conveyed to the City and the City will maintain and operate the park from that point forward” There are many plans in the works for the park that have been carefully considered by the board members, Lowder stated, “In figuring out what features we wanted to have in the park, there was a community wide survey that was done and then our park board members represent the breadth of our community, people that have been in the community for generations, relative newcomers, people with younger and older kids, we are di (Continued on Page 9)
