Ryan Stoll and Family Jared Coffey Howe Youth Baseball (HYB) has received some much-needed attention over the last few years, after local Jared Coffey took over as Commissioner 2 years ago. Ballfield Mix (dirt), new bases equipment, concession stand upgrades and fund raising have all been upgraded. As many know, baseball is one of the oldest organized sports in Howe and by far one of the busiest. Enrollment numbers have been breaking records annually, the team of volunteers are constantly faced with adversity. Baseball having four fields and three concession stands to upkeep and maintenance can be a daunting task. All funding for baseball is covered by enrollment fees and fundraising. Attempting to break even was the goal prior to the acting Commissioner. HYB has set its sights on making their guest

Ryan Stoll, lifelong resident of Sherman and Howe, alongside his wife Taylor and son McCoy, who attends Summit Hill Elementary and plays in HYB’s 8u division, connected with Commissioner Jared Coffey to hear firsthand what the league needed. His connections as a Partner and Senior Vice President of MYCON General Contractors, Inc. based out of Dallas, TX was just what the league needed to make construction and cosmetic upgrades. “After one meeting with Mr. Stoll I knew listening to him he was eager to help and he had the resources to do it” says Commissioner Jared Coffey. One day after meeting Ryan, his first trade hit the ground running. His fence crew, Liberty Fence, replaced all gates, chain-link, backstops and straight-

ened every fence post. The second tier to the plan was capital improvements. Mr. Stoll wanted to ensure HYB had adequate storage and improvements to the current storage situation. Also, revamping the remaining wood topped bleachers by replacing all the wood with new treated lumber was a much needed item completed. Next, was to present a newly designed Connex container showcasing MYCON and Howe Youth Baseball Visible from the Highway to the Howe City Council. On Tuesday March 4th Commissioner Jared Coffey presented the concept to the Howe City Council. All council members approved with no objection. Like. the fence crew, Mr Stoll had the Connex container dropped one day after approval. have started replacing rotten siding, trim, and bleacher boards. All upgrade costs have been free to the league, as Mr. Stoll and his family made a huge contribution towards the future of HYB. Howe is blessed to have him see the needs of the community, and without hesitation he made timeline commitments and saw these through to the end. HYB has its sights set on a future site for a “Four-Plex” complex on 46 acres east of downtown, and with these capitol improvements, the future of HYB has now continued to provide the guest experience until movement occurs for its new endeavor. None of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of HYB board members, community leaders and city participation. Thank You Mr. and Mrs. Stoll!
