HOWE’S HAPPENINGS Victory Independent Publishing
You know it is a sign of growth when you start seeing multiple churches of the same denominations moving into towns. As of this week, we get to welcome a new NonDenominational/ Bible Church to Howe! In my personal life, I grumble about most things relating to the growth- the cornfields getting replaced by homes, yet another fast food restaurant, the traffic, etc., I was raised in the more crammed city life, I don’t miss most things about it. However, there are some awesome things about growth– new restaurants, new interesting things to learn and do, more arts, music and entertainment, and also more churches. I get excited about more people coming into our community with hearts that are postured toward serving others as they feel Jesus did. Regardless, of religious affiliation, if we all read the Good Samaritan Story and tried to follow it, we would all be better for our community. So, here’s to new churches and the good of new growth. Now, in my personal opinion, if we can just get a cool coffee shop with wide varieties of live music played in it and a rock climbing gym we would be all set!

The Inn Church to Offer First Service in Howe This Week Ashley Husbands This Saturday, The Inn Church, a former home church from Anna, will be starting up in Howe.
Summit View Church has now been absorbed by Life Fellowship Church, a larger church with a base campus in McKinney. Life Fellowship Church has rumors to be aiming to open in Howe in the Spring, but we will wait until more details are known to update that situation. At this time, The Inn Church has made an agreement with Life Fellowship Church to allow the building to be shared for The Inn Church’s Saturday night services. Matthew Baughman, pastor of The Inn Church shared, “We’re a small, non-denominational church. Our mission is to
love people where we are, with what we have, while we are there. Our vision and heart is to create a place where people can come that they know their tab is on Jesus and the welcome never expires.” Baughman explained that The Inn Church’s mission is largely shaped by the Good Samaritan story- a Biblical story centered around seeing those who are in need and actually helping in ways we are able to. “People are ugly, we all have our own junk. Loving people isn’t easy or convenient. We are so moved by the story of The Good Samaritan storyThat is what church is.” Baughman explained that the church is centered around loving people and creating a space for hurting, unwell, broken, etc. people to experience the healing of Jesus, and they hope to
