Catherine Garcia Flowers is a servant leader with moxie and the mother of three extraordinary college students and a husky named Drogeaux. A statesman, tested and tried she leads with passion. She is the daughter of immigrants from the Bay Island of Roatan in Honduras. Her parents were married for over 54 years. It is her parents resilience that molded her into a versatile, enthusiastic, and results-oriented leader and advocate. With over 20 years of rich experience in government, community development, civic engagement, and non profit experience, she is known for the ability to win community support, develop key coalitions and build mutually beneficial relationships. As the CEO of Bread of Life, Inc and the New Amazing 102.5 FM Radio she has mastered her adeptness at directing complex projects and programs necessitating the application of creative approaches, designating operational priorities, and managing resources to operational goals and budgets. As the founding director of the City of Houston Department of Neighborhoods she demonstrated her ability to inspire, navigate and manage change. As the VP/CRA Officer for Capital One Bank she used her persuasive communication skills to expand the affordable housing pipeline. In every endeavor she is committed to adding value and exceeding expectations through creative idea generation and disciplined judgment.
