As the estate settles after harvest, this shipment draws from the Cave Collection—Oakville Cabernets held back and cellared at Far Niente until the moment is just right. The 2016, 2019, and 2021 offer a rare vertical: three vintages of the same Oakville expression, each shaped by its own season, each revealing what time in the cave has given it. Tasted together, they tell the story of a decade in the making. 2016 Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon oakville, napa valley eautiful aromas of blackberry and boysenberry pie, cassis, licorice and sweet anise, pair gorgeously with hints of lightly toasted oak. A silky entry transitions to a very smooth midpalate with flavors of mixed berry fruit, light toasted oak, and sweet licorice. Well-structured and polished, this wine is filled with juicy acid and fine grain tannins that melt into a long mouthwatering finish. 2019 Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon oakville, napa valley From the first swirl, notes of espresso, blueberry and dark cherry immediately waft from the glass and envelope the senses. The 2019 Far Niente Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is silky and seductive on entry with flavors of blackberry and cocoa. This wine is beautifully textured with well-integrated tannins and a finish that is smooth and long-lasting. 2021 Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon oakville, napa valley Aromas of dark mixed berries, blackberry pie, bay leaf, chocolate-covered espresso beans, toffee, and black olive tapenade excite the senses. Upon entry, the palate is plush and velvety, coated with mixed berry flavors supported by firm and fine-grain tannin. A long, juicy finish that is almost saccharine with trailing notes of caramelized sugar. Rich and full, this Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is incredibly age-worthy.
