Q2-2026

The Darien, Rowayton and New Canaan real estate market remained strong throughout the second quarter, with sustained buyer demand supporting continued price appreciation despite mixed sales activity.
Darien and New Canaan posted gains in homes sold, while Rowayton saw a sharp 35.7% increase. All three towns recorded price growth as homes continued to attract strong competition. Buyers remained willing to pay a premium, with sale-to-list ratios exceeding 104% across each market.
As we enter the second half of the year, fundamentals remain strong. Sellers who price strategically continue to achieve excellent results, while buyers are benefiting from modestly improved selection in select segments.
At Houlihan Lawrence, we remain committed to delivering the expertise, local insight and trusted guidance that have defined our market leadership for generations. We are grateful for the opportunity
to guide buyers and sellers with confidence through every stage of their real estate journey.
With Warm Regards,
Liz Nunan President and CEO
