Fall Fashion Special Edition

Men’s Fall Fashion 2025

Based on the latest trends from the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 runway shows and fashion publications, here's a breakdown of men's fall fashion for 2025:

Aviator Jacket

Key Themes and Silhouettes

•Relaxed Tailoring: Say goodbye to ultra-skinny fits. This season, the focus is on comfort and confidence with a return to classic, softer silhouettes. Think wide-leg and pleated trousers, and suits with a more natural, easy drape.

•Elevated Workwear & Americana: Workwear and Western influences are a major theme. This translates to leather and suede jackets, rugged denim, and classic fabrics like corduroy and flannel.

Relaxed Tailoring

•The Return of "Essential Elegance": away from heavy streetwear towards a more refined, yet still sensible, style. This includes slouchy double-breasted tailoring, long coats, and chunky cardigans.

•Functionality and Technology: Technical outerwear and performance-driven clothing are a go-to. Look for pieces with lots of pockets, hoods, and weather-resistant fabrics. This trend is a response to a changing climate, making technical clothing both stylish and practical.

•Layering as an Art Form: Mixing textures and playing with layers is key. The goal is to create a put-together look without overdoing it. A neutral base with one or two standout pieces is a winning formula.

Essential Pieces and Wardrobe

Oversized and dramatic overcoats and trench coats are having a moment, particularly in luxurious materials like wool-cashmere

Performance-driven jackets with a sporty aesthetic are essential for weather protection and a functional

Faux Fur Coats: Faux fur is a bold statement piece, appearing in both classic and contemporary designs.

•Knitwear & Shirts:

Baggy Sweaters and Flannels: Comfort is key. Oversized flannels and distressed denim lean into a modern grunge aesthetic.

Hairy Knitwear: Mohair and other fuzzy knitwear continue to be a popular trend, adding texture and warmth.

Heavyweight Tees and Hoodies: Layering starts with a solid foundation. Look for heavyweight t-shirts and hoodies in neutral colors for durability and a clean look.

•Bottoms:

Long Shorts

Baggy Trousers and Jeans: The often in heavier materials

•Plaids and Checks: Classic checks, plaids, and subtle herringbones are the print of choice, offering a sophisticated, old-world lens to modern dressing.

In summary, men's fall fashion for 2025 is about a refined, yet comfortable, approach to dressing. It blends classic elegance with practical functionality, all while embracing relaxed silhouettes and a rich, earthy color palette.

THE WIZ COMES TO THE ARSHT CENTER

October 7 - 12

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and Broadway Across America are proud to launch the 2025-26 Broadway in Miami series with the South Florida premiere of THE WIZ, for a limited engagement from October 7-12, in the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House.

Celebrating 50 years since the beloved musical first opened on Broadway in 1975, this new revival features hometown talent including Miami native Amitria Fanae’ (Addaperle), along with Florida-natives Kameren Whigham (Ensemble) from Fort Lauderdale and Sai Anthony (Ensemble / US scarecrow) from Jacksonville.

Based on L. Frank Baum’s children’s book, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” THE WIZ takes one of the world’s most enduring

American fantasies and transforms it into an all-Black musical extravaganza for the ages.

This groundbreaking twist on The Wizard of Oz changed the face of Broadway—from its iconic score packed with soul, gospel, rock and ‘70s funk to its stirring tale of Dorothy’s journey to find her place in a contemporary world.

The principal cast includes Dana Cimone, making her national tour debut, as Dorothy; Alan Mingo Jr., returning to the role he originated on the pre-Broadway tour and played on Broadway as The Wiz. Also making their national tour debuts are Sheherazade as Glinda, Kyla Jade as Aunt Em/Evillene, D. Jerome (MJ the Musical, Hamilton) as the Tinman, Cal Mitchell (The White Rose, The Color Purple) as the Lion and Elijah Ahmad Lewis (Ain't Too Proud, Motown The Musical) as the Scarecrow.

It was a pleadure to sit down with Cal Mitchell (The Lion) for this exclusive Hotspots interview. Were you always a performer even as a child or when did it start?

I picked up on the musical theater performing when I was a junior in high school.

My family had just moved like 30 minutes outside of Nashville to a town called Murfreesboro. At the school that I was going to, the choir did all the musical theater shows. My junior year, they did a production of The Who's Tommy, a Rock Opera, and that was my first show. So I picked up on performing when I was in high school, and I've kept up with it.

What was your first paid performing gig?

Oh, God. My first paid singing gig was when I was a freshman going into my sophomore year of college. I booked a little

PhotobyJeremyDaniel

I would say it probably happened around the same time as I had gotten into musical theater. When I got into college I was going to originally major in vocal perormance (opera) but changed to Theater with a Musical Theater minor. I think making that decision was what cemented that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Other than this role, what has been your favorite role?

That's hard...I would say I got to do two productions of Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World. And I got to play the character in the show called Man One, who sings some of the most well-known musical theater songs, like King of the World, Steam Train, and specifically

Flying Home is such a good song, and I got to perform it for two different productions at two different times. I was really young when I did it, though, so the vocal ability was still coming into play.

and I got paid as an intern, which was about, I would say, $120 a week.

When did you realize performing would be your career and how did that happen?

And I would really love to get another shot at doing that show maybe again in the next couple of years. But like having that be the first big gig job was really a big test for me on whether or not this is truly what I

character of the Witch. I think she is crazy and wild, but there's a lot of themes with her that I really, really do love. I also think that it would just be crazy to play that character because I don't think anyone would see me playing that character at all.

Describe yourself in three words? Happy, crazy, and hopefully warm. What do you do for fun?

I like to stay in the house. I like to stay in my hotel room and, you know, be amongst myself. I enjoy reading a lot. I actually have like three books that I need to finish.

I read, I play video games, I have a PlayStation 4 while we're

traveling from city to city. I love to cook. If there's ability for me to cook in a hotel room, I'm going to cook. Is there pressure being in such

There's always a bit of pressure, but it's nothing that I don't think that I am able to meet headfirst. I love a challenge and I love the ability to put my stamp and say, I was here on year 50 and this is how I did my show.

head. And I think that this show is just a bright spot where you can come in, you can let go of whatever is happening outside of the theater, and you can really just like sit there and have fun and laugh as much as you want to.

they can find all of the things that they need is to go down this road together. And I think that that togetherness and that the story of community and doing something with people behind you is such a prevalent thing that we need to be reminded of now.

charisma and unapologetic love for the trans and queer community will shine brightly as she hosts the first gala in a new era for The Task Force.”

It was a pleasure to catch up with Dominique just weeks before the Be You Ball:

The last time we spoke to you was right before the task Force's 2023 gala when you were honored with the National Leadership Award. How was that night and how was it to receive that award?

That night was beyond amazing. It was a much-needed opportunity for me to reaffirm myself because at that time there was an acting strike and because of that strike I lost many opportunities and the future looked very dim. I felt a bit defeated. I had finally found space in the acting world after years of trying and facing rejection, then to have my wildest dreams be fulfilled only to be snatched away. Being honored with the National Leadership Award made me reflect deeply on my life, I did not believe I did anything to deserve it. That night I was in the bathroom at the event in tears just thinking of how rapidly my life had changed and I received some very kind and encouraging words from someone in that bathroom, which reminded me that just being me was hard work and that I deserved every honor I received, they encouraged me to allow myself to be celebrated and that changed my

entire view from one of undeserving to one of gratitude for the fight that I had in me to navigate the obstacles I faced and overcame and it also encouraged me to continue to share my journey with others so that many would not feel alone.

You are an activist for the LGBTQ Community, and we are in a political environment where our Trans sisters and brothers are being attacked. What can we do to help?

In order to help others in this political climate folks must understand why they caused the harm in the first place and be accountable. Folks must understand that difference does not mean disassociation. It is my belief that our differences are to aid us in learning from each other so that we can widen our thoughts and comprehend that we are the same. We just may possess different beliefs because of the way we are raised and where we are raised so our differences should bring about a cultural exchange where an understanding and respect of each other is paramount.

Are there any acting projects coming out now or in the future for you and can

Dominique

you tell us about them?

you tell us about them?

I was fortunate to be part of the upcoming movie “Queens of The Dead” directed by Tina Romero and written by Erin Judge and Tina Romero. It's about a group of drag queens and club kids that put their differences aside to fight zombies. It's in theatres 10/24/25.

What does the future hold for you?

I would love the future to be amazing and I will continue to work toward that but right now the present is beautiful even in the midst of the chaos we face because every day I face me, love me a little more because I understand me a little more and that brings me joy.

I am super excited about the Task Force Gala! I love the work that the task force does and this year the Be You Ball is to be one that really celebrates the trans community and that's something that I always push for. It's not just about including but about understanding how hard our lives are now and giving us support and courage to be able to push through all of this and a little love goes a long way, especially when it comes from your siblings.

At the Our Fund Foundation, Jobin leads the queer-advocacy organization whose philanthropic mission solidifies LGBTQ wealth in a series of grants, investments and donations.

Task Force President Johnson seconded Jobin's remarks of his award, citing his “lifetime of servant leadership in pursuit of full, queer liberation. Through his storied career serving as executive director of the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC, then the director of the Stonewall National Museum & Archives, and now the CEO/president of Our Fund Foundation, he has been a guardian of our history and helped to forge our future. Entertaining at the Be You Ball will be The Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida. I asked Gabe Salazar, Artistic Director of the Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida his thoughts

of performing at the ball and he said: “The Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida is honored to be part of the National LGBTQ Task Force's Be You Ball on October 11. To stand together on the eve of National Coming Out Day is deeply meaningful for our chorus and our community. This interview was a combined effort by me, Scott Holland, Richard, Jo and Andy’s life partner Stephen (who has been a good friend for almost 2 decades)

After hugely successful tours of the UK and Europe, Andy Bell will be embarking on his first ever solo tour of North America beginning October 3rd, and the tour hits south Florida on October 10 and 11 at Revolution. His album, Ten Crowns, released in May of this year, marked a magisterial moment in his forty-year career, and reconfirms that he is one of the great pop vocalists of our time. Travelling into new dimensions and possibilities with gospel in his heart and dance in his soul clearly suits him.

Bell's four decades of writing and recording with Vince Clarke as Erasure are still going strong - the duo are currently working on a new album together and celebrating their 40th anniversary next year. For Ten Crowns, Bell threw himself into

writing with close friend Dave Audé, the Grammy award-winning producer, remixer and DJ. Andy and Dave had previously collaborated on two Billboard Dance Club Songs number ones together: 2014’s ‘Aftermath (Here We Go)’ and 2016’s ‘True Original’.

Best known as one half of Erasure, one of the UK’s most beloved award-winning songwriting partnerships. Their decades-long song-writing partnership has seen Erasure crowned Best British Group at The Brit Awards and receive the Attitude Icon Award, amongst many other accolades. Since the release of their debut, Wonderland, they have gone on to sell over 20 million albums, 5 of their 18 studio albums hitting the UK number one spot, as well as multiple Top 20 hits on the Billboard

Hot 100. Their most recent release, 2020’s The Neon, debuted at #4 on the UK Official Albums Chart, and the duo are working on a new Erasure album project. Andy also recently received the ICON Award at the PEUGEOT Attitude PRIDE Awards Europe 2025.

Andy Bell has a successful and varied parallel solo career with releases that include three solo albums under his own name, and a further two as offshoots of his one-man theatre project, Torsten The Bareback Saint. Throughout his incredible career, he has collaborated with artists as diverse as British Electric Foundation, Jake Shears, Claudia Brücken (Propaganda), Perry Farrell, Boy George, and most recently, Debbie Harry.

The live shows will feature a combination of tracks from Ten Crowns, as well as Erasure classics. A few weeks before Andy hit the stage in South Florida, it was great to sit down with him for this exclusive Hotspots

Interview:

How did the collaboration with Dave Audé come about, and what do you think he brought to the table for this project?

To be honest I’d never thought of myself as a songwriter before, even though I’d been a co-writer with a few other people (excluding Vincent!). I felt very fortunate when my partner Stephen mentioned that

so we thought it only natural to meet and write again when time allowed. Dave remains unjaded by the ‘business’ which I find very refreshing, and he’s maintained his integrity throughout. I can always tell when someone likes my voice. We are equal partners on everything we write which is something I got quite comfortable with.

You've formed a live band for the tour to promote Ten Crowns, who are they, and how much have they shaped the way the songs are performed live?

All the musicians were initially selected by Dave Audé and are all Nashville based, which is very handy and puts me in the thick of the country music writing scene which is quite remarkable being a white gay electro boy. So, the dynamic is one of excitement, opposites attract and it’s a real fun eccentric bunch full of energy and undeniable talent. Jerry Fuentes brings a Siouxsie type ethereal atmosphere to the songs apart from being a total flirt, and Sara Tomek is unlike anyone I’ve ever met. She is a rock goddess feminist with a filthy imagination (like mine), and she kicks ass as hard as she plays the drums. Our new singer Chelsea is a natural successor to Hailey and gives off the same Charlie’s Angels infectious charisma as well as being a singer at the top of her game. Dave goes

Andy Bell

Your upcoming North American tour runs for the best part of three months and takes you right across the country. How intimidating is it to have that many shows ahead of you?

It is quite a daunting prospect, but we have done it before. We are visiting loads of new towns, and the venues are not too big, so I think we’re gonna have a great laugh. People have been saying it’s the best we’ve ever been, which is great to hear at 61.

Ten Crowns includes a collaboration with Debbie Harry on the track 'Heart's a Liar', what does it mean to you, as such a public fan of Blondie, to have her on your album?

This means the world to me. I know that she loves me, and the feeling is mutual, but you still need to keep a distance out of respect. Every time I hear her voice anywhere - in a taxi or in a supermarket - it’s like she’s saying hello.

Sarah Potenza features on the track 'Lies So Deep', how did she come to be involved?

Sarah was a Dave special discovery via a US television show, and her voice is a tour de force which completely transformed the track.

You made full videos for the tracks 'Don't Cha Know' and 'Heart's a Liar' which isn't something that everyone does these days. How important was it to you to present those tracks in that way?

moment, and they made me look and feel fantastic.

Ten Crowns was a significant hit in the UK albums charts, including Number One in the Independent Albums chart. How important is commercial success to you these days?

It’s still nice to be recognized within the industry, but as you become older (if not wiser!) formats change and it’s harder to chart so you just want to make quality material.

You've released the album on your own Crown Recordings label, do you have more plans for the label? Might you sign and release other artists for example?

We might, but it was a hell of a lot of work for Stephen, which I wouldn’t like to put him through again. We had amazing support from Mute and PIAS. I had no idea how much work they do behind the scenes. Has Vince Clarke been involved in this project at all? Do you know what he thinks of Ten Crowns?

Yes, Vince has made an incredible mix for us, and he told me he was very proud of me and this project. He says he doesn’t know where I get the stamina from… and neither do I!

How did you come up with the name “Ten Crowns”? Does it have a special meaning?

The name refers to the tarot - the ten crowns on the tree of life - which is a very

What’s next for Erasure?

Vince and I are currently working together in the studio. It’s the 40th anniversary of Erasure’s first album next year, and we hope to have a new album ready to coincide with that.

Describe yourself in 3 words

Fun, unpredictable, friendly!

What do you do for fun?

Play Mahjong, cook roasts and pastries, have friends over for gossip, drinks, and internet surfing!!

What should our readers expect from your concert here in Fort Lauderdale at Revolution Live? It’s gonna be the bomb, we’ve assembled a world-class band coming live and direct from Nashville.

Sarah Tomek is our sexy badass drummer (who drums for Steven Tyler), Jerry Fuentes is hot, Siouxsie-style/ex-Sting guitarist, Chelsea is our brand new Charlie’s Angel backup singer who has this down and dirty cotton candy voice, and Grammy-winning Dave Audé; master producer DJ on keyboards! The show is a heady mix of all things Erasure with a new spin…. plus, many of my favorite songs from Ten Crowns. I am as proud of this show as anything else I’ve ever done!!!

Hope to see everyone there!

Yes, I recently shared a brand-new remix by Vince Clarke of “Dance For Mercy,” one of the standout tracks from my new album, Ten Crowns. Go check it out!

HO W T O SPLIT

YOUR WORKOUTS LIKE A PRO

When it comes to the gym, everyone wants the perfect plan, but here’s the truth: the “perfect” workout split depends on your goals, schedule, and even your personality. Whether you’re chasing strength, size, or just want to look good naked, splitting your workouts the right way can help you crush your training and keep things exciting.

Let’s break down some of the most popular (and effective) ways to structure your training:

1. The Full-Body Split (3 Days a Week)

Best for: Beginners, busy schedules, and people who hate leg day.

With a full-body routine, you train all major muscle groups in each workout, usually three times a week. Think squats, presses, pulls, and a little core action. It’s

simple, efficient, and builds a strong foundation.

Pros: Maximum bang for your buck.

Cons: If you miss a workout, you’re missing everything.

2. The Upper/Lower Split (4 Days a Week)

Best for: People who want balance and flexibility.

This classic split divides your week into upper body days (chest, back, shoulders, arms) and lower body days (quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves). Usually, it’s two uppers and two lowers per week. Perfect for gaining both strength and size without burning out.

Pros: Great recovery balance.

Cons: Your arms might still be sore when you’re trying to train chest.

Leo Harley

3. The Push/Pull/Legs Split (6 Days a Week)

Best for: Hardcore lifters and gym rats who love structure. This method organizes your workouts by movement:

• Push = chest, shoulders, triceps

• Pull = back, biceps

• Legs = quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves

Rinse, repeat, and you’re training each muscle group twice per week.

Pros: High frequency = high gains. Cons: Missing a day can throw off the whole cycle.

4. The Bro Split (5 Days a Week)

Best for: Bodybuilders and mirror-flexers. The bro split dedicates each day to a single muscle group. Example:

• Monday: Chest

• Tuesday: Back

• Wednesday: Shoulders

• Thursday: Arms

• Friday: Legs

It’s old-school, but hey, Arnold did it.

Pros: Pump city! maximum volume per muscle.

Cons: Miss leg day, and you’re basically skipping 20% of your body.

5. Hybrid Splits (Mix It Up!)

Best for: People who get bored easily. Maybe you do upper/lower on weekdays and full-body on Saturday. Or push/pull/legs with cardio days sprinkled in. Mixing splits keeps training fresh and fits any lifestyle.

Pros: Keeps boredom away.

Cons: Requires some planning. Don’t Skip Rest (Your Muscles Will Thank You)

Rest isn’t laziness, it’s where the magic happens:

• Muscle growth: Your body repairs and builds during downtime, not during your last set of squats.

• Hormonal health: Overtraining can spike cortisol and eat away at gains.

• Longevity: Rest keeps you consistent,

instead of sidelined by burnout or injury. Golden Rule: Take at least 1–2 full rest days per week no matter your split. Use them for stretching, walking, yoga, or pure couch time.

Final Rep

The best split isn’t the one your favorite influencer posted. It’s the one that fits your life and keeps you coming back. If you’ve got three days, crush a full body. If you’re living in the gym, push/pull/legs are your playground. And if you’re somewhere in between, upper/lower or a hybrid might be your sweet spot.

No matter the split, remember consistency beats perfection. Show up, lift heavy, rest well, and enjoy the process, because at the end of the day: gains are made in the gym, but unlocked in recovery.

Here comes the first feature film from the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” extended universe, and though it has no title just yet, RuPaul’s character has a perfectly appropriate “Drag Race” name: President Gagwell. Because of course. From gay director Adam Shankman (“Hairspray”) and World of Wonder, the comedy action-thriller is set on a high-speed train called The Glamazonian Express, where two stewardesses confront a “Stormganza” that could derail and crash the entire thing. In order to avert catastrophe, President Gagwell — whom we presume is a passenger — has to join in for a super queen team up. Nick, Kevin and Joe — The Jonas Brothers — are still making music and are about to star in their very first holiday-themed movie, as themselves: “A Very Jonas Christmas Movie.” From Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jessica Yu (“Quiz Lady”) the plot is, cozily enough, lifted directly from “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles,” as the brothers encounter multiple obstacles as they

attempt to get home for Christmas. In addition to cameos from other members of the Jonas family, the cast includes queer actors Laverne Cox and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, as well as Billie Lourd, KJ Apa, Andrea Martin, Randall Park, and, why not, Kenny G as himself. It drops into your home via Disney+ on Nov. 14 and comes with its own catchy tagline: “Let it bro, let it bro, let it bro.” Yes, really.
