Diagnosis: Angioleiomyoma Angioleiomyoma (also known as angiomyoma) is an uncommon benign tumor of perivascular smooth muscle cells containing numerous vascular channels. Location is most commonly subcutaneous, though in this case was deep to the plantar fascia. The sonographic appearance of a well-circumscribed ovoid hypoechoic mass containing multiple vascular channels is typical, though not specific. Calcification may also be seen (though not in this case). Imaging differential may also include vascular malformation and peripheral nerve sheath tumor, which were considered possibilities prior to biopsy.
