REIMAGINING THE HORIZON

This March, we were proud to host the three-day 2026 Horizon Open House in Kaohsiung. With nearly 200 distinguished guests joining us, it was truly a pleasure to reconnect—once again—through this biennial gathering with friends from around the world. Under the theme Reimagined, we invited everyone to envision the next chapter of Horizon. From the flagship FD110, the FD100 with its luxuriously appointed interior, the debut of the ES88, to our cross-industry collaboration with Lexus on the LY680. Guests also had their first look at our newly completed maintenance and service center, along with the marina, facilities that expand the scope of Horizon’s capabilities and long-term support.

Beyond the special yachts showcased during the event, this issue of our Horizon Brand Publication also presents, a newly customized sportfishing yacht FD85s and the all-new FD97 series. These projects reflect a principle we hold firmly: while we never compromise on quality, we never stop innovating.

As the first-ever FD100 in the Skyline configuration, Hull 15 made her global debut at the 2026 Horizon Open House. Tailored for the Australian market, she presents an evolution of the Fast Displacement (FD) Series, where the Australian spirit of adventure is balanced by the modern, measured elegance of Cor D. Rover’s interior design language.

Sculpting the Skyline

At first glance, the yacht’s bespoke black radar arch sits in stark contrast to the white superstructure. The profile is defined by long, horizontal brushstroke-like lines that suggest forward movement. This gives the yacht an athletic poise even when her twin MAN 2000ps engines are at rest.

The Art of the Open Plan

Rounded edges and seamless transitions shape the interior, echoing the gentle flow of water. Organic forms and a curated palette prioritize a sensual experience. In the main salon, high-gloss koto wood meets matte black and white lacquer, forming a layered environment that bridges a sense of scale with intimate detail. Mirrored gunmetal titanium on the ceiling pulls natural light deep inside, while the furniture is arranged to keep the sightlines open to the sea. The feeling is one of space with breathing room.

A major change in this FD100 is the Open Galley. More of a social hub than a simple utility zone, this area has integrated LED lighting that casts a soft, unobtrusive glow, enhancing the serene luminous ambience without upstaging the panoramic views offered by the floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining area. Seamless interaction around a ten-seat oval dining table amplifies the social atmosphere.

Suite Sophistication

Forward on the main deck, the master stateroom takes full advantage of the yacht’s beam. Rounded design motifs recur here, expressed in the arched window and the cabinetry. Below deck, the guest accommodations are designed with versatility in mind. Four ensuite staterooms feature a mix of VIP suites and twin rooms with sliding beds, allowing the configuration to change based on the needs of the owner and guests.

The upper deck brings together a professional command center with a social lounge. The pilothouse features three black leather seats, polished stainless steel, and koto wood accents, creating a modern, ergonomic driving environment. Dark oak floors, an L-shaped sofa to port, and a dayhead to starboard make the space functional and sociable, enabling shared use without disrupting the helm. With business handled up front, beyond sliding glass doors, the bridge deck aft is home for the outdoor lifestyle. In the split-use Skylounge, a bespoke bar finished with black rock-textured countertops and an integrated flat-top teppanyaki station invites long afternoons of outdoor dining. Central to the aft deck is the octagonal heated Jacuzzi, which is surrounded by premium Tribù teak furniture. Custom RGB mood lighting hints at a playful, festive vibe. When the 88-foot KE I debuted at the 2026 Horizon Open House, her presence spoke of a deep history. For her Australian owner, this was not just a new acquisition but the sixth collaboration with Horizon. Such a long-standing relationship allows for a level of dialogue that moves past basic requirements into the territory of highly specific, lived-in intuition. The brief was clear: a yacht that carried the athletic flair of a sport cruiser with plentiful capacity and comfort.

Working with Dutch designer Cor D. Rover, the yard produced a profile that looks active even when still. The exterior lines are clean and forward-leaning, complementing a hull engineered for both speed and stability. Powered by twin MAN V12 2,000ps engines, KE I delivers the performance her spirited silhouette suggests. Achieving this required considering a balance between generous interiors in volume without unduly affecting agility or fuel efficiency.

Material Matters

Inside, a crisp, contemporary design puts natural textures front and center: a neutral, bright lighting scheme illuminates Heartridge vinyl wood running the main deck, while matte-white ceilings and soft leatherette panels provide a measured contrast.

Two white sofas trace the contours of the salon and cradle a custom walnut coffee table with a slatted base and marble top. A fold-down 65-inch TV tucks away to preserve uninterrupted sea views. Forward, a bespoke dining table for eight pairs a marble top with a titanium-and-walnut base, while the adjacent galley functions as a professional workspace in a mix of dark-gray matte cabinetry, stone countertops, and high-gloss wood accents.

Driven by Design

The Lexus LY680 recently made its highly anticipated global debut at the 2026 Horizon Open House in Kaohsiung. When a luxury automotive giant turns its attention to the water, the results can sometimes lean toward the conceptual. However, with the LY680, Lexus proves that its interest in the yachting world is far from a temporary experiment.

Silk-smooth and whisper-quiet, the yacht combines meticulous attention to detail with a streamlined, automotive-inspired silhouette. Production takes place at Vision Shipyard, part of the Horizon Group, and draws on the group’s reputation for advanced superyacht construction technology. This flagship builds on its predecessor, the LY650, and unites Horizon’s custom-build heritage with Lexus’s management philosophy expressed in the Toyota Production System. At over 67 feet, the Lexus Luxury Yacht follows the L-finesse design language. Curves and surfaces are intended to catch the light in a way that suggests movement even at anchor. Extended Vistas and Open Air

The most significant changes in this evolution are found in the external social spaces. Feedback from owners of the previous model led to a discernible increase in the usable deck area. The flybridge now extends further aft by 1,400mm, creating a vast upper deck that functions as an exquisite lounge. Fitted with a large sofa and an optional barbecue grill, this space expands outdoor living possibilities even further. Adding a greater sense of ease at the water’s level, the swimming platform was lengthened by 700mm for more space to prep water toys or simply sitting with feet in the water.

Inside, large windows in the main salon frame the seascape, preserving a connection with the surroundings even when sheltered from the elements and realizing the core Lexus objective of creating a “hideout in the middle of the sea” where owners can relax and roam free.

The Art of Quiet Comfort

L-finesse informs the interior design with soft, organic shapes and a warm palette that allows natural light to play across surfaces, bringing out grain and gentle contours. The main salon and dining areas are open and fluid, eschewing constrained passageways in favor of a layout that encourages conversation. Every detail subtly affirms the conviviality of the onboard experience.

Below deck, three staterooms accommodate up to six. Each cabin is designed to maximize the available volume, using smart storage and integrated lighting to cultivate an intimate sense of luxury. Warm woods, sleek finishes, and artisanal touches in the master suite combine for refined comfort.

Quietness is perhaps the most impressive luxury here. Drawing inspiration from Lexus’s automotive know-how, noise and vibration are minimized in the living quarters. Beneath the elegant exterior, power is tuned for stable handling and a smooth ride. Twin Volvo Penta IPS units, available in 1050 or 1350 configurations, provide propulsion with reduced fuel consumption and emissions. The air in Horizon Yachts’ hometown of Kaohsiung in early March carries a particular charge, a mix of shipyard bustle and coastal air, the kind that announces where something is made as much as what it makes. Between March 4 and 6, the shipyard hosted guests for its 2026 Open House, themed “Reimagined,” offering an inside look at its craftsmanship, innovations, and the city’s cultural touchstones.

Day 1 — A Grand Welcome

Owners and partners arrived from far and wide and gathered at the welcome banquet venue, where the evening’s reception took on the easy intimacy of long acquaintance.

Tables were filled with guests from the U.S., Australia, Europe, and Hong Kong, and the room hummed with owners of multiple hulls over many years, special guests from Japan and Toyota Motor Corporation, international press, brokers who traded quiet judgments over drinks, and engineers who spoke in measured certainties. It was an evening for shared stories and anticipation, setting a relaxed tone before the deep dive into the technical details of Horizon’s fleet the next morning.

Day 2 — Yard and Marina

The second day shifted the focus to the shipyards, where the true scale of Horizon’s operations became clear. Factory tours were conducted in two groups, with stopovers either at the Horizon or Atech facilities. On the Horizon shop floor, guests explored the test tank, the woodworking area, and the dedicated Tooling Center used for crafting precision yacht molds and composite components.

Morning at the Atech composites workshop began with a guided walkthrough. There, the group toured the showroom and watched the specialized 6D infusion process, a method that allows for large-scale hull sections to be formed with a high strength-to-weight ratio. Seeing the raw fiber before the gloss and timber softened the lines gave a clear sense of the unseen strength beneath the skin.

After exploring the facilities, the groups reconvened for lunch at the Horizon canteen, a space that reflects the company’s focus on the well-being of its workforce and a brief respite in a place otherwise tuned to heavy lifting. Then it was onward to the Horizon City Marina for the main event.

Four yachts lined the dock, headlined by an FD110 Tri-Deck. Built for the U.S. market, the interior of Hull 7 pairs washed white oak with silver-gray lacquer, evoking a premium resort feel more than a classic yacht salon. The layout is thoughtfully arranged, with a five-stateroom configuration including a master stateroom that provides an exquisite personal space. Alongside and making her global debut as the first-ever FD100 Skyline model was Hull 15, featuring a signature Cor D. Rover interior design tailored withAustralian specs for the practicalities of long-range cruising in southern waters. The layout incorporates professional-grade refrigeration and ice-making systems for extended trips. Inside, koto wood and soft, arched lines create a sense of organic movement.

Nearby, the ES88 and the carbon-fiber LY680 showcased the impressive variety of the fleet on display. Making her world debut, the ES88, christened KE I , is a one-off model featuring a Cor D. Rover design. This is the owner’s sixth Horizon vessel and transforms the E Series into a one-of-a-kind sport yacht. Equally at home making her debut on the world stage, the LY680 is the result of a partnership with Toyota Motor Corporation, bringing Lexus design policy from cars to the sea.

Across the Great Australian Bight

High on the southern winds, following the great migration westward, Horizon delivers once again.

The Southern Ocean does not extend invitations. It issues challenges. For Captain Tommy and his team at Ocean X, the delivery of the new Horizon V74 Maximilian from the Gold Coast to Perth was a journey defined by the raw physics of the Great Australian Bight. For the owner awaiting delivery, the voyage previewed the yacht’s blue-water credentials and inspired confidence for cruising Western Australia’s rugged coast.

The Bight Cocktail Tuesday night into Wednesday morning brought the predicted clash of weather systems. A slow, three-meter southerly swell met a sharp, two-meter southeasterly wind wave. The result was a complex sea state that often forced the hull to climb seven-meter walls of water before sliding down the back of it. Speed fluctuated between 6 and 13 knots as the wave systems conjoined.

Despite the height of the seas, the motion remained predictable. Tommy reports that Maximilian handled the conditions with a level of composure that surprised even his seasoned crew. There were no slamming and no complaints from the hull. The V74 showed its grit, turning a potentially punishing transit into a steady march westward.

Rituals at Sea

Life on a long-range delivery is measured in watches and small comforts. At 0430, crew member Nugget began his daily ritual. The sound of a kettle and the beam of a torch in the engine room signaled that civilization remained intact despite the 35-knot gusts outside. After running through checks on temperatures, pressures, and belt tensions, he took the bridge at 0500.

In the darkness of the wheelhouse, the instruments painted a tidy picture. The radar showed clear echoes, and the autopilot held a firm line. It was only when the sun rose that the true scale of the Southern Ocean became visible. Gray walls of water marched from the south, their tops torn by the wind.

Engineering Poise

The V74 is an evolution of the V68, providing enhanced volume and a layout that favors long-term stays. Polished in appearance and robustly engineered, this is the yacht for the occasion. During the most demanding leg of the journey, the mechanical report remained silent. No leaks, no rattles, and no surprises. Stable temperatures and rock-solid pressures are the highest compliments a captain can give a vessel’s systems.

The yacht’s manners offshore are its defining trait. She doesn’t skate sideways when a large swell passes underneath and she refuses to wallow. Even when taking the seas on the nose, Maximilian punched through without hesitation. The crew had planned a conservative route further north if the weather became abusive, but the V74’s performance allowed them to hold their primary, more direct course.

Strategic Timing

With Starlink aboard, the isolation of the Bight is now balanced by modern connectivity. From 200 miles offshore, Tommy coordinated a fuel truck to meet them at Bandy Creek Boat Harbour in Esperance.

Faced with a fresh south-westerly front due on Saturday, the team chose prudence over stubbornness and elected to tuck into the harbor, let the weather pass, and wait for a cleaner window to complete the final 550 miles to Perth.

As Maximilian glided west, a realization unfolded over distance and time. Mile by mile, the subtle virtues of yachts like the V74 made the crew’s work easier than ever: more comfortable, predictable, and forgiving.

An elegance of design that for those watching from the shore looks like a seabird on the wing, migrating toward a new home beyond the horizon—indeed a sight to behold!

2026 Winter Showcase, Fort Lauderdale Horizon’s Winter Stars at Bahia Mar

The mid-February sun cast a steady light over the Bahia Mar Yachting Center as the Florida coast welcomed a three-day event dedicated to the finest expressions of the yachting lifestyle. From February 12 to 14, the Fort Lauderdale docks debuted the latest Horizon Fast Displacement (FD) and E Series arrivals to the fleet.

On the first morning, members of the brokerage community met for a private brunch to discuss industry trends. Happy hours held daily eased the pace, with guests gathering on the docks, drinks in hand, and relaxed conversation fueling convivial exchanges.

The exhibit had broad appeal. Headlining the display, the all-new FD100 Hull 14 demonstrated the possibilities of the Cor D. Rover-penned 101-foot Tri Deck. Her five-stateroom layout includes a full-beam master suite that occupies the forward section of the main deck and four ensuite guest staterooms below deck. Generous proportions define the living areas, including a formal ten-seat dining table, an enclosed Skylounge, a Tri-Deck with a Jacuzzi, as well as a hybrid beach club featuring a bar and wet storage.

Two mid-range models, the FD90 Skyline Hull 34 and FD80 Skyline Hull 17, were also part of the lineup. The FD90 comes with a smart four ensuite stateroom layout that includes a convertible laundry/Pullman space that transitions from a laundry area to an additional guest cabin. Interiors bring together washed wenge and brushed European oak with Mikado Calacatta Fantasy quartz and stone surfaces for a warm, sophisticated palette. On the bridge deck, a split-use Skylounge opens aft to a flexible entertainment area configurable for sun loungers or water-toy storage. With the FD80, a similar sense of volume that features an enclosed Skylounge and four staterooms is delivered within a more compact footprint.

The event also included the E90 Skylounge Hull 23 and E88 Hull 12. These yachts represent the shipyard’s more traditional lineage, showcasing a refined blend of contemporary design and proven performance. Sleek exteriors pair with hulls engineered for efficient cruising and stable handling, appealing to hands-on owners. In the E Series, multiple configurations are on offer, including four-stateroom layouts below deck, merging European elegance with practical, user-focused design.

Nearby, the FD87 Bella Tu and the RP110 Wild Duck were also available for private tours. Together, these motoryachts presented a broad spectrum of Horizon's current offerings.

For attendees, the three-day show reinforced that the best designs serve a singular purpose: to deliver delightful, unfettered pleasures of a life well-lived on the water.

Along Flagler Drive, the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show transformed the waterfront into a temporary capital for the yachting community. Held March 25–29, this fixture of the American yachting calendar provided Horizon Yacht USA with a prominent stage to showcase sustained regional growth and deepen relationships with owners and prospects.

Positioned at Ramp 2, the display focused on the intersection of high volume and the brand’s signature comfort, a combination that answers the diverse demands of the U.S. market. The curated selection included the FD90 Skyline and FD80 Skyline alongside the ever-popular V77s. Developed with designer Cor D. Rover, these models reflect an approach of maximizing internal volume and indoor-outdoor flow through the kind of thoughtful customization that defines modern life on the water.

Horizon’s presence extended to an off-site display at Yacht Connexion, where the RP110 Wild Duck and an E88 were available for viewing. This dual-location offering allowed a broader look at the portfolio, from the sophisticated raised pilothouse of the RP series to enclosed bridge models, and allowed more detailed conversations about layouts, systems, and owner-driven options.

Throughout the five-day event, the Horizon team hosted a steady flow of qualified interest and returning owners, from first-time buyers exploring larger platforms to repeat owners discussing upgrades and new builds.

The social focus of the week peaked on Friday evening with a private VIP gathering. Featuring live music from the Jutt Huffman Band, the docks moved past detailed tours and specs toward easy conversation among owners and partners in a setting that mirrored the relaxed feel of the yachts themselves.

As the show drew to a close, the focus pivoted to a busy schedule of upcoming deliveries, follow-up appointments, and new development work, underscoring Horizon’s forward push in innovation, customization, and owner-focused service leading into a packed summer season.

Horizon Power Catamarans concluded the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show on a high note, with a dynamic week of engagement, exceptional weather, and strong interest across its showcase. Set against a backdrop of bright skies and warm Palm Beach sunshine, the brand welcomed more than 120 visiting parties aboard its display throughout the five-day event, held March 25–29, 2026.

Combined for the first time with the Open Salon layout and enhanced with Horizon Power Catamarans’ advanced Silent Living system offering hours of generator-free comfort, the PC60 continues to strike a compelling balance between performance and efficiency.

Throughout the week, the team engaged in a number of meaningful discussions with existing owners considering upgrades, alongside new clients entering the brand.
