Welcome to our NEW MEMBERS The range and variety of our membership is one of the Business Club’s unique strengths: we’ve recently been joined by companies from not only the business and investment sector, but also hospitality, design and manufacture and the music industry!
Is this our next generation? In recent months our Vice-Chair of Trustees, Eileen Perry MBE DL, and our CEO, Nigel Rose, have been interviewing and selecting a group of young entrepreneurs and business leaders from our region. The vision is to harness their energies and skills to spread awareness about Hope among their peers and to generate new ideas and new activities in support of the research and treatment projects that Hope helps to fund. Now that group is together and about to be launched as the ‘Hopeful Futures’ board. According to Nigel: “Growing awareness and the audience for Hope is an ongoing must, and involving leaders who have a high profile in the up-and-coming business generation is a turbo-charged way of doing just that. Plus, there’s succession and continuity to think of!” Founder of the group Eileen says: “In line with Hope’s charity funded projects termed ‘Today’s Research for Tomorrow’s Treatments, our Hopeful Futures board represents the investment we are making for the future growth of our charity, raising awareness of prevention and continuing our mission of better outcomes and saving lives.” The group’s first event is scheduled for December 6th - we’ll let you know more via all of our Hope Against Cancer communications channels - follow us on social media!
