Business Club Marathon Runners The mud, sweat and tears

After more than one of their friends and family were diagnosed with cancer, our new HTB club members decided to take on the epic 26.2 miles, which they ran in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside on the 3rd of October. They said “We’re done and aching. It was harder than we thought, but we got through it! Thanks for all your support” and we appreciate their effort in taking on such a huge challenge.
The team at Jadu have recently undertaken a mission to help raise money for Hope Against Cancer and the extension of the new Cancer Trials Facilities. This mission saw them run/walk/ cycle 23,849 miles - the distance between their 3 offices in Leicester, Kansas, and Canberra. They completely surpassed their initial target of £5,000 and have raised £5,852, a huge donation that will make an incredible difference. We really cannot thank them enough for your hard work and determination to raise funds for our charity!

SRU Management
Bike for Hope
Sunil Unka from SRU Management and his team were scheduled to run a Tough Mudder for us in 2020.
Our first one day ‘Bike for Hope’ Challenge was a huge success, raising over £14k! As well as all the fantastic individual cyclists, we also had innovative support from Jenny at Cross Productions and Leanne at e-Bate who rode a tandem bike across 60km, and two eBike riders from Ride Leicester whose grant also contributed £300 to our total. Special thanks must also go to our eco-friendly cycle shirt sponsors, Phillips Sutton and MJ Rees. We’re looking forward to seeing some of these participants on our 4-day, epic Wild Atlantic Challenge in September 2022, which you can sign up to via our website.
Although it was unable to go ahead as planned, he made a donation of £750 to us anyway, to help us continue funding lifesaving cancer research. Thank you so much Sunil for making fundraising plans, and for honouring your Hope Through Business Club membership commitment!
360 Golf Day
A huge thank you goes to the 360 Autoleasing team, who raised £2000 for Hope at their TEE-RRIFIC golf day! This event took place at Cosby Golf Club in September, players arrived to bacon rolls, played an exciting 18 holes and returned to a one-course meal and prize giving!

Corporate Sports Day
Our first ever Old School Sports Day was a battle between 11 excellent teams who all had a fabulous time at Leicester Racecourse, pitting their racing (and cheating!) skills against one another.
Kazzoo Golf Day Founder and Managing Director of Kazzoo IT, Chris Cain, has recently teamed up with Ramsdale Park Golf Centre in Nottingham to present a day of golf, refreshments and fabulous prizes - all to support and raise funds for Hope! This event raised £1875 on Friday 1st Oct thanks to all those who took part!
The day saw MicroFresh, Furnley House, Cross Productions, eBate, Eileen Richards Recruitment, Brewin Dolphin, Mattioli Woods, BSB and PPL PRS go head-to-head; straddling space hoppers, balancing bean bags and skipping at speed to raise over £4k! BSB managed to clear the most cash for us, with a total of £707 donated, which won them a virtual Escape Room prize donated by Escape Team Events. Other sponsors who made the day possible included Raylec, Tax Assist Accountants Market Harborough, Circle Club, Ark Business Finance and 360 AutoLeasing, as well as headline sponsors ADT.
Hollogram support Hope through Fan TVLeicester
In an exciting development, Leicester Fan TV have chosen Hope Against Cancer as their charity partner for the coming year. This collaboration will get Hope Against Cancer in front of 160,000 followers of the popular local sporting discussion and insight website, and will create a number of fundraising opportunities. Phil from Hollogram Design, who run the website said “we’ve got some great ideas lined up and know this partnership will be an excellent opportunity for us both”.
