We recently had the pleasure of exhibiting at the NACFB Commercial Finance Expo 2026. Our stand was designed to reflect both the strength of our offering and the direction of our lending approach, with Max Net positioned at the centre of the experience.

This year’s presence was focused on more than product visibility; it was about creating a stand that brought our proposition to life in a meaningful way. A bespoke vault activation formed the focal point of the stand, where visitors were invited to unlock the vault and take part in an interactive experience that captured attention throughout the day. It provided brokers and industry professionals with a tangible connection to the energy behind Max Net, while reinforcing the innovation underpinning its design.

It is a gathering where industry leadership is not only acknowledged but placed under the spotlight in front of peers, policymakers, and leading brands. In a category featuring nine other leaders from specialist lenders, the competition was exceptionally strong, making Jonathan’s win all the more noteworthy. An exclusive gathering of industry professionals, with thanks to Triple Point

Bringing together clients, sponsors, partners and colleagues from across the private credit community, the evening provided a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with industry peers, exchange insights and celebrate the relationships that continue to drive our sector forward. Guests were also treated to exclusive access to the White Tower and a private viewing of the Crown Jewels.

5-Year Milestone

Celebrating five years of dedication, commitment, and impact

une has been a month to remember for Senior Underwriter Andrew Bate. Fresh from being named a finalist in the Underwriter of the Year category at the Bridging & Commercial Awards 2026 and the Financial Reporter Awards 2026, Andrew is also celebrating five years with Hope Capital Property Finance - a milestone that reflects an exceptional career journey and commitment to excellence.

Andrew joined Hope Capital Property Finance in 2021 as a Loan Administrator. While he had no previous experience within the property finance industry, he brought with him a firstclass degree in English Literature, a strong work ethic, and a determination to build a successful career in financial services.

Since then, his progression has been nothing short of remarkable. Within six months, Andrew was promoted to Case Manager before moving into an Underwriter role in 2022. His dedication, expertise, and consistent performance saw him promoted to Senior Underwriter in January 2024.

Three promotions in four years is an impressive achievement by any standard, with each step earned through hard work, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to delivering the very best outcomes for brokers and borrowers alike.

Being recognised as a finalist at two prestigious industry awards in consecutive weeks is a fantastic achievement and fitting recognition of Andrew’s contribution to

both Hope Capital Property Finance and the wider specialist lending sector. These accolades highlight not only his technical expertise but also the dedication and passion he brings to his role every day.

Andrew’s journey is a fantastic example of what can be achieved through determination, continuous learning, and a commitment to excellence. We are incredibly proud of everything he has accomplished and look forward to seeing his continued success in the years ahead.

BRIDGING & COMMERCIAL AWARDS 2026

A night of recognition at the B&C Awards

The Bridging & Commercial Awards once again brought together some of the most respected names across the industry, celebrating excellence, achievement, and continued innovation within the sector.

Among those in attendance were David Weir and Sam Lea, joined by Adam Powell, Alex McMillen, Daniel Jones, Greg Walters, Leo Rossiter, Liam Arnold, Rajesh Malhan and Sebastian Newby.

The evening proved to be a strong showcase of talent across the market, with standout contributions recognised throughout the ceremony. Although David Weir did not take home the top honour, he was named Highly Commended in the Lender Relationship Manager of the Year category - a significant acknowledgement of his continued commitment and performance within the industry.

Congratulations go to all of the nominees and award winners, whose achievements reflect the strength and depth of talent across the sector.

The event served as a reminder of the progress being made across bridging and commercial finance, and the importance of recognising those driving it forward.

Daisy Smashes the TCS London Marathon

Raising over £2,500

Huge congratulations to our incredibly talented Creative Lead, Daisy Howard, who has successfully completed the TCS London Marathon, taking on the iconic 26.2-mile challenge in support of the James Bulger Memorial Trust.

Not only did Daisy conquer one of the world’s most famous marathons, but she has also raised an amazing £2,500+ for a cause that does incredible work supporting vulnerable children and young people.

Months of dedication, early morning training sessions, sore legs, and sheer determination all paid off as Daisy crossed the finish line in an unforgettable

achievement. Her commitment to both the challenge and the charity has been nothing short of inspiring.

We are incredibly proud of Daisy for pushing herself to complete such a huge personal challenge while making a real difference to others along the way.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who donated and supported her throughout this journey. Every contribution has helped make this success possible.

Grand National Festival at Aintree

Two incredible days

We were delighted to be part of the action at the Grand National Festival, hosted at the iconic Aintree Racecourse, across both Opening Day and Ladies Day.

On Opening Day, we had the pleasure of hosting a number of our valued brokers for a fantastic day of racing, great company, and plenty of laughs. While we didn’t win every race, that’s all part of the fun! A huge thank you to Ben Murphy, Daniel Smith, Hadley Langley-Smith, Joe Jones, Richard Manning, Rory Boyd, and Troy Mallard for joining us. We hope the power banks helped keep you charged throughout the day!

Talented New Additions

Strengthening our expertise

Following the sales team restructure earlier this year, Hope Capital Property Finance has continued to invest in its people, welcoming a host of new talent across the business as we strengthen our commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for brokers and borrowers.

Back in February, we transformed our former Internal BDE team into a dedicated team of sales specialists, creating a more streamlined and efficient journey for our brokers and borrowers.

As part of this exciting evolution, Alicia Alty was promoted to Sales Specialist and Leanne Stafford joined the team.

Adding further strength to the business, we recently launched our brand-new Pre-Application Team, designed to enhance support and service from the very start of the customer journey.

Leading the team is James McDonough, who joined Hope Capital Property Finance in April and brings valuable experience, having

previously worked with the business as a BDE.

Joining James is Michael Trafford, who has transitioned from his role as Sales Specialist to become a Pre-Application Specialist. Michael is joined by our newest recruits, Joe Jacques and Dyl Roscoe, creating a dedicated team focused on delivering an outstanding preapplication experience.

The momentum has continued with the arrival of our latest Sales Specialists, Rob Rycroft and Sophie O’Toole, who now join Alicia, Chris, Leanne and our external National Account Managers, David Weir and Sam Lea, in driving forward our sales proposition.

Meanwhile, our underwriting function has been strengthened with the addition of two experienced Underwriters, Ginny Percival and Fanus Awellom, helping us continue to deliver the speed, expertise and service our brokers have come to expect.

Guests were welcomed with a complimentary spritz on arrival before enjoying a beautifully curated afternoon that began with an interactive culinary challenge led by the talented Riva Blu chefs. The experience set the tone for a lively and engaging event filled with conversation, connection, and fundraising.

Downstairs in the Bullion Room, attendees explored a selection of luxury pop-ups, including Charlotte Tilbury, Penhaligon’s, Hayes & Finch, and Stacey Nicholson

Aesthetics. Guests were treated to thoughtful touches throughout the afternoon, including Charlotte Tilbury goody bags for all attendees, complimentary skin analysis from Stacey Nicholson Aesthetics, and a beautifully presented candle gift from Hayes & Finch, a long-established local company with over 130 years of heritage in candle manufacturing.

A highlight of the afternoon was the opportunity to take part in a fantastic raffle, featuring a range of prizes including a spa and stay package for two at Hope Street Hotel, a bottomless brunch experience for eight at Masons, luxury accessories, electronics, and many more generous donations.

The event concluded at around 4pm, with guests invited to continue enjoying the afternoon in the relaxed setting of the restaurant bar.

Brand-new £35m funding line from Hampshire Trust Bank

Hope Capital Property Finance has reached an exciting new milestone, securing a brand-new £35m wholesale funding facility from Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) – a significant step that positions the specialist lender for record growth in 2026.

This landmark agreement marks Hope Capital Property Finance’s first funding partnership with HTB and reinforces the lender’s ambitious growth strategy as it continues to strengthen its presence across the UK bridging finance market. The new bilateral facility builds on recent enhancements made to the company’s existing funding arrangements, providing increased capacity to support a rapidly expanding pipeline of residential, semicommercial, and commercial property projects nationwide.

As demand for fast, flexible property finance solutions continues to grow, the additional funding will enable Hope Capital Property Finance to

serve even more borrowers, brokers, and developers while maintaining the exceptional service and bespoke lending approach the business has become known for.

The SLT Star of Hope is part of our quarterly values recognition scheme, celebrating colleagues who consistently go above and beyond while living and breathing our core values.

Each quarter, the winner is carefully selected by the Hope Capital Senior Leadership Team or voted for by their

colleagues, in recognition of their exceptional commitment, dedication and positive impact across the business.

Since joining our Portfolio Management team in January 2024, Michelle has made an outstanding impression. Her hard work and commitment led to her promotion to Senior Loan Support Specialist earlier this year, and receiving this award for a second time is a fantastic reflection of the difference she continues to make every single day.

SLT Away Day

A valuable day of collaboration, planning and shared focus for the year ahead

Following our SLT promotions to director level in February, we were delighted to come together as a team for our first Senior Leadership Team away day. Hosted off-site at the Brabners event space, the session marked an important milestone in aligning our newly structured leadership group and setting a clear direction for the months ahead.

The away day provided a valuable opportunity to step back from day-today operations and focus on our strategic priorities, operational plans, and shared objectives for the business. Discussions centred around strengthening collaboration across departments, enhancing delivery against our business plan, and identifying key areas for growth and improvement.

We also took time to review our current performance against targets, explore market opportunities, and reinforce our commitment to delivering continued success for our clients and partners. The open and collaborative environment encouraged constructive debate and fresh thinking, helping to shape a more unified approach to execution across the SLT.

Overall, the session was a positive and productive step forward, reinforcing our shared vision and ensuring alignment at leadership level as we move into the next phase of growth.

A look back at two team nights

Following our strongest start to the year to date, it was only right that we brought the team together to celebrate in style. With momentum building across the business, April marked the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and enjoy a well-earned night out together, followed by our annual summer party in June which kept the celebrations going.

April team night out – Duke Street Market

The April evening saw the team head to Duke Street Market, a vibrant and contemporary food hall right in the heart of Liverpool. Known for its lively atmosphere and wide variety of independent food vendors, it proved to be the ideal setting for a relaxed and social evening.

With everything from street food favourites to more adventurous dishes on offer, there was genuinely something for everyone. The team spread out across the venue, sampling different cuisines, sharing recommendations, and enjoying the chance to unwind away from the day-to-day pace of the office.

It didn’t take long for the venue to earn a big thumbs up from the group. The combination of great food, a buzzing atmosphere, and plenty of space to socialise made it a real hit, and the evening was a strong reminder of how valuable it is to step back and celebrate shared success together.

June summer party – bringing the sunshine energy

Following the success of April’s get-together, the celebrations continued into June with the annual summer party. Designed as a highlight in the company calendar, the event brought the whole team together once again for an evening of food, drinks, and relaxed summer fun. With a more laid-back, seasonal feel, the June party offered the perfect opportunity to build on the positive momentum of the year. Colleagues from across all departments came together outside of their usual roles, strengthening connections and enjoying a welldeserved break from the busy months behind them.

As the evening unfolded, there was a real sense of appreciation for the hard work that had gone into the year so far, as well as excitement for what’s still to come. It was another reminder that success isn’t just about results, but about the people driving them forward. A team worth celebrating.

Both events reflected the same theme: strong performance, shared effort, and a culture that values bringing people together. From the bustling energy of Duke Street Market in April to the relaxed summer celebration in June, the team nights out were a fitting way to recognise a standout start to the year, and to say thank you to the people making it happen.

A particular highlight this quarter was welcoming Andrew O’Mahony and Lauren Colbert from Brabners to our headquarters for two engaging and insightful face-to-face training sessions. The interactive workshops explored key legislative developments surrounding the Renters’ Reform agenda and title splits, providing valuable insights into the latest regulatory changes and their impact on the property finance sector.

Sessions like these are invaluable in helping our team broaden their expertise, deepen their understanding of complex topics, and stay ahead of industry developments. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Andrew and Lauren for sharing their knowledge and expertise with the team.

Boodles Ladies Day at Chester Racecourse

An iconic day of racing, style, and sophistication

Hope Capital Property Finance was delighted to attend this year’s Boodles Ladies Day at Chester Racecourse, one of the standout events of the May Festival, bringing together exciting racing, fashion and networking opportunities.

Thanks to the generosity of valued stakeholders, the team was fortunate to receive not one, but two invitations to the occasion, giving colleagues the opportunity to spend time with key industry partners and strengthen important relationships.

With our CEO, Jonathan Sealey, being a lifelong football fan, there was no better opportunity than to support Football for Change - an inspiring initiative founded by three Liverpool footballers with a mission to transform young lives.

The event brought together the worlds of sport, music and philanthropy, featuring exclusive sporting insights from Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai and a live performance from award-winning singer-songwriter James Bay.

Football for Change is dedicated to helping children and young people who have grown up in challenging circumstances, using football as a powerful platform to raise vital funds for youth charities across Merseyside and Lancashire. Through its work, the organisation provides opportunities, support and hope to those who need it most.
