STAFFING UPDATE We have reached the point in the year where we start to plan our staffing and timetable for September. Therefore I would like to take this opportunity to update you on the changes to staffing and any internal movements therein. Firstly, I would like to say ‘Good luck and farewell’ to several colleagues who will be leaving us at the end of term. Andrew Clark will be leaving us to teach Maths at Ormiston Rivers in Burnham on Crouch - a lot closer to home for him. Sophie Benon will be moving to Budapest to teach French at an international school. Steve Hall and Craig Robertson are both retiring from their respective roles in Maths and Cohort Leadership, and Attendance and Bonnie Collins will be moving onto pastures new after a year supporting our cover team. We are also excited to welcome several great new members of staff to Honywood for September and I am pleased to say that we will be fully staffed - something that is not a given in the current climate. Jack Mantle will be joining the Science team; Robyn Straken will be joining the English team; Layla Goodchild and Jack Pragnell will be joining the Maths team. We have just one more teaching vacancy to fill in Art and will be interviewing in the coming weeks for this role. We shall also be interviewing for a new school minibus driver next week. START OF TERM DATE - SEPTEMBER 2024 As we approach the summer break we would like to make you aware of our arrangements for the start of the new school year in September. I am sure you will be aware of the issues we have had to face this year due to the national RAAC agenda. I am pleased to say that we have been able to navigate this situation well and should be all set to start in our newly refurbed school building for September.
