40 Years of Commitment

This year marks a meaningful milestone as we host our 40th Annual Production Sale, celebrating 40 years of dedication to the seedstock business. Since 1984, we have poured in time, effort, and values into building a cattle program centered on function, longevity, and consistency. What began as a commitment to raising good cattle has grown into a program shaped by decades of hands-on experience, careful selection, and a deep respect for the cow herd.

From the beginning, Jeff believed in the advantages of heterosis and the importance of building cows that are practical, efficient, and dependable. Through intentional crossbreeding and strict culling, the focus has always remained on low-maintenance, durable maternal females. Cows are rigorously evaluated for disposition, feet, and udders, ensuring the foundation of the herd is built on soundness, fertility, and longevity. These females also excel in carcass merit, maternal ability, performance, and ease of calving—traits that have stood the test of time.

The cattle developed through this program have consistently proven themselves beyond the pasture. Over the years, cattle have been fed in more than 40 pens, typically gaining 3.3 to 4.0 pounds per day with yields from 64% to over 65%. Feeding results have consistently reached 90% to 100% Choice or better, along with feed conversions as efficient as 5.10. These outcomes reflect decades of practical decision-making and a disciplined approach to genetics and management.

This year’s offering of bulls represents the continuation of our life’s work. The set is deep, consistent, and backed by a strong selection of proven AI sires and herd sires raised within the program. These bulls are built to transmit muscle, fleshing ability, and structural soundness while producing high-quality feeder calves and dependable replacement females. Developed on a highroughage ration, they are grown with longevity and functionality in mind—not pushed for shortterm appearance.

In addition to the bull offering, 25 open heifers will be available, providing an opportunity to bring these proven genetics back into your cow herd.

GUARANTEE: All bulls selling for $4,500 or more will carry a first breeding season guarantee, In the event a bull dies in the first breeding season, we will credit 50% of the purchase price. If a problem arises, please call us ASAP to discuss options.

HERD HEALTH: All bulls have been footrot vaccinated poured, currnet shots and will be fertility tested by delivery.

BULL BOARD: Free board on all bulls until March 25th. Feeding arrangements are available until May 1st @ $4.00 per day. We offer free delivery within a 200mile radius on bull purchases of $5,000 or more. We will assist with delivery on all purchases. Delivery will start in mid-March. Heifers will need picked up within 1-3 Days.

SEMEN INTEREST: SCC is going to retain 50% semen interest in all bulls selling. This means that if semen sales develop on a bull, the buyer and seller would split revenue equally. Also if the seller would want to use the bull for in-herd use, the seller would collect the bull at the seller's expense and the buyer's convenience. The buyer would have all possession rights.

TERMS OF SALE: Cash, unless other arrangements are made prior to the sale. Announcements made on the day of the sale take precedence over any printed materials.

LIABILITY: All precautions possible will be taken to protect the safety of the buyers and others attending the sale. Nevertheless, no responsibility will be assumed by the auctioneer or the host ranch in the event of accidents or of loss or damage of property.
