As we enter into a Golden Era in the beef cattle business, Tyler and I are excited to invite you to our 2nd Annual President’s Day Sale at the ranch on February 16.

Although cattle numbers are at a historic low, we are seeing incredible highs in the beef cattle business today — something that hasn’t been experienced in our lifetimes. As I travel this country speaking, I have the great pleasure of connecting with so many amazing cattle producers. In these conversations, there’s unquestionably a sense of hope and optimism among these folks that is long past due.

We, too, share that hope and optimism for the future of this business, and we are bullish on what’s ahead. With the tight squeeze in cattle inventory, high-quality beef in the United States has become exceptionally rare and valuable. We’ve seen it first-hand on our auction platform, Bid On Beef, which since its inception in 2024, has exceeded $1.25 million in sales, shipping to all 50 states. America’s appetite for USA beef is insatiable, and the American ranchers’ ability to convert grass into the most consistent, tender, flavorful, and well-marbled steaks in the world is unmatched.

Collaborating and working with our customers is truly a blessing. Every decision Tyler and I make at Radke Land & Cattle is with you in mind. We want cattle that will perform in the pasture, in the feedlot, and on the rail. We have learned a great deal of hard lessons by being “in the fire” in this business from pasture-to-plate, and it’s through these experiences that we continue to fine tune and hone in on the genetics that truly get the job done with these goals in mind.

And while we have the utmost optimism for the future of agriculture, we are also cognizant of the external threats that seek to cripple our way of life and take ranchers off the land and beef off the dinner table. In the past year, we were part of a grassroots, landowner-led effort in our beloved home state of South Dakota to pass the first-of-its-kind bill, HB1052 — which is now a law in South Dakota to safeguard property rights against the heavy hand of a $10-billion, foreign-backed Green New Deal project wanting to force its way onto land through eminent domain abuse.

In the last couple of years, I’ve made countless trips to the state capitol and several flights to Washington, D.C., and it has taught me that decisions are made by the people who show up. It is my commitment to you that every morning I wake up, I think about these threats to our land, our legacy, our livestock, and our liberty. It is my life’s mission to fight to keep farm and ranch families doing what they love to do.

At the end of the day, this industry is so much more than cattle to Tyler, myself, and our four young kids. It’s a true representation of what the Founding Father’s envisioned — a nation where doers, thinkers, and dreamers could grow and build and pass on a legacy and a business that will last for generations to come.

That’s who we are in cattle ranching, and that’s what we fight for.

OUR GUARANTEE

Our word is our bond, and we stand behind our cattle 110%. We have an unconditional first breeding season guarantee. The seller guarantees that all bulls are breeders for a period of 90 days following the initial turn out with buyer’s herd. Additional terms and conditions follow in accordance with the American Angus Association and North American Limousin Association guidelines and recommendations. If you have any questions or concerns with your purchase, please don’t hesitate to call us.

HERD HEALTH

All cattle selling are on a J&R complete feed bull developer, and are up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming. Aged bulls have been semen checked, and fertility sheets available. We work with consulting veterinarians, Dr. Bobbi Fridley, Artesian Veterinary Clinic, and Dr. Mike Patrick, Animal Clinic of Mitchell.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• A binding purchase agreement is created for the selling price at the closure of the lot per auction guidelines.

• All announcements made on sale day take precedent over any published information about the offering.

• If there are any special terms or credits, please discuss with owners prior to the sale.

• Payments will be made on sale day or within 30 days unless other arrangements have been made with owners.

• The aged bulls have been semen tested and are ready for turnout on sale day. Free wintering of the yearling bulls through April 15 will be offered. Bulls will be semen tested in early April, and we’ll begin deliveries shortly after. $3/hd/day yardage fees will be charged to buyer after May 1.

• Shipment fees of embryos are the responsibility of the buyer. Flushing expenses are also the buyer’s.
