Jailbreak and our other sire groups represent our continued effort to make performance cattle that are built for calving ease, rapid growth, style, carcass, and maternal quality. Longevity and fertility are at the forefront of our feeding program that is designed to develop lean, hard, durable bulls that are ready to work a rigorous breeding season! Poppe Bulls are developed on a high roughage, lower energy diet with ZERO creep on summer pastures. Our disciplined feeding program helps ensure that the bulls are made right, look great and can maintain their best condition possible throughout the breeding season and be ready to do it all over again the next year.

GUARANTEE All bulls will pass a breeding soundness exam prior to turnout of their first breeding season. This is not a breeding injury guarantee, death guarantee or otherwise. We highly recommend the purchase of breeding injury and/or mortality insurance to protect your genetic investment.

SEMEN INTEREST Gary Poppe and Karen Poppe and Jay Poppe and Deanna Poppe d/b/a/ Poppe Bulls and Horseshoe Hill Ranch retains a one-half (1/2) semen interest in all bulls. In the event a bull purchased from Gary Poppe and Karen Poppe and Jay Poppe and Deanna Poppe d/b/d Poppe Bulls and Horseshoe Hill Ranch becomes a bull from which semen collection occurs (a bull becomes an A.I. bull) then Gary Poppe and Karen Poppe and Jay Poppe and Deanna Poppe d/b/a/ Poppe Bulls and Horseshoe Hill Ranch shall be entitled to one-half (1/2) of the semen and semen sales. In the event a bull is sold or transferred to another, Gary Poppe and Karen Poppe and Jay Poppe and Deanna Poppe d/b/a Poppe Bulls and Horseshoe Hill Ranch’s retained one-half (1/2) interest in the semen of the bull shall remain and be unaffected by said sale or transfer.

HEALTH Two rounds of Pyramid 5, Vision 7/Somnus and Pasturella. All bulls receive pre-breeding and foot rot vaccinations at fertility evaluations. This includes Express 3+VL5 and Fusoguard. All bulls are semen checked by a veterinarian and passed a fertility and breeding soundness exam before delivery. All Bulls are DNA tested.

Bidding Intructions

Bid online from the comfort of your home!

Preview the sale lots online, along with comprehensive data, pedigree, EPD’s, and videos of each lot for several days before the sale. During that time, bidders can leave a maximum bid, which the system will represent confidentially up to that amount. Bidders can also actively bid as the bid increases prior to the close of the sale. All lots will close at the same time in a horse race format. If a bid is placed within 5 minutes of the closing time, closing times will be extended 5 minutes for all lots after bid is increased. This will continue until no bids are placed for 5 minutes. Once the time runs out, the sale closes.

Buyers must create an account and request a buyer number through DVAuction. Sign up 24 hours prior to bidding and review the helpful tutorial at www.dvauction.com. You will receive an email stating the final bid price on the lot you purchased if you are the winning bidder. After the online sale closes, we will contact the buyers of each lot to make payment arrangements as soon as we can. If you have questions before we contact you, feel free to call us.
