Incoming sheriff alleges fraudulent work hours by brett adkison leader editor
A.J. Carrel, Clinton County’s incoming sheriff, took to social media last week to accuse leaders in the current department of submitting fraudulent work hours. Clinton County Sheriff Larry Fish denied the claims. In a post from his election profile on Facebook, Carrel accused Clinton

He added that Ramos doesn’t drive a county vehicle and he is still employed fulltime with the department,
and that Ballard has been to work far more than the 14 times mentioned in the post. Sheriff Fish also denied that he had been to work just a few times since the election, adding that like Ramos and Ballard—given the nature of being a salaried officeholder—he has worked many hours for the county beyond what he is paid for. “I was there this week, last week, the week before last,”
